1 XXIX. Armeekorps (XXIX Army Corps) The XXIX Army Corps was formed in Dresden on June, 9^0. It participated in the latter part of the western campaign, moving via Namur and Dinant in Belgium to St. Quentin, Reims, and Paris. The Corps remained on occupation duty in the Reims and Epernay area of France until March 9^ when it was transferred via Breslau to Kielce, Poland, to prepare for the invasion of Russia on June 22, 9^. It fought in the southern sector of the eastern front, reaching Kiev in September, It was in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Tomarovka areas in 9^-2 and in the Voroshilovgrad, Kamensk, Rostov, Konstantinovka, Zaporozhe, and Melitopol areas in 9^3 /No records for the Corps available or listed in the Potsdam Catalog after December la, Kriegstagebuch.
