27 EB Tough Mobile as a Next Generation MDC Miracast Wireless Display Projection Miracast is a technology for mirroring device display content between multimedia devices without cable or network connection. Miracast is a peer-to-peer connection based on Wi-Fi Direct and allows sending up to 1080p HD video wirelessly between devices. Miracast is an industry-wide solution promoted by the Wi-Fi Alliance, so the technology works well across devices regardless of the brand. EB Tough Mobile is a Miracast compliant device. 45 Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department Two Factor Authentication on MDC The user is first authenticated using their Active Directory user ID and password Next authentication via a digital certificate Digital certificates are issued to the user when they complete MDC training If successfully authenticated, then the user certificate is downloaded from Active Directory to the MDC and the logon process continues The system checks to ensure the user authenticated by Active Directory is the same user authenticated by the Certificate Authority before access to MDC applications Encryption The Band 14 devices today are all Andriod Andriod supports data encryption
