7 Operations & Response Overview Coordinates the needs of the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Deploys tactical operations in response to an emergency Assists in stabilizing situations in the immediate aftermath Runs the State Warning Point 24/7/365 Activates when an emergency outgrows the capabilities of local jurisdictions Serves as intermediary between county and federal responses

9 SEOC Operations Overview Disburses information to coordinating agencies Establishes response priorities Assists with establishing operational periods Conducts shift briefings to relay information
10 Operations Situation Unit Maintains contact and shares information with county EOC and REMs Collects information for briefings, reports and displays Assists with action implementation
11 REM Program Mission The mission of the Regional Emergency Management Program is to represent the state emergency management program at the local level, enabling effective preparation for, efficient response during emergencies and recovery from disasters in order to save lives, reduce human suffering and property loss.
12 REM Program Responsibilities Maintain the capability to respond when called, including after-hours. Serve as primary LNO to SEOC during County emergency response operations and disasters. Assist the Recovery Section as the SCEMD representative in the field during the initial phase of recovery operations. Daily, serve as conduits of information to and from the counties (the SCEMD POC). Assist Counties on the implementation of training and exercise development programs (HSEEP) and evaluation.
