Glenn Simpson All Shifts Patrol the Norfolk Area, including not only Norfolk Proper, but also the surrounding area of Lambert and Sanford, Bannon Crossing and Brandon Dunes and Buechel Bank. There were no major issues reported during this period. This reflects well on everyone assigned to Beat 4. As usual, be alert to residential burglaries during the day and car break-ins at night. Flex Platoon Emphasize drug enforcement in Norfolk. Quality of Life Issues People loitering in Rangeland Park (Norfolk). Traffic Issues Enforce speed limit in school zones. Division 6 Sector 2 Beat 5 Prepared by: Lt. Glenn Simpson All Shift Increase patrol in the areas of: Bon Air, High Gate Springs, Breckenridge Estates and the subdivisions off of Browns Lane. These areas are common targets for Burglaries during the day and TFAs at night. We have also recently heard concerns about the Hikes Lane corridor (Mid Dale, Orchard Manner, Clingstone, and White Hall). *Note: This was a highly unusual week. There were no burglaries that clearly occurred during the Day Shift. Conversely there were a number of burglaries which occurred during Mid-Watch. First Platoon A Burglary in the 2900 Blk. Miles Rd and a Stolen Auto in the 300 Blk. Chanel Ct occurred during this shift. Second Platoon A TFA in the 2200 Blk. Goldsmith Lane occurred during this shift. Third Platoon There were several Burglaries which occurred during this shift. These include: 200 Blk. Cardwell, 2500 Blk. Sharon Circle, 2800 Blk. Del Rio, 2900 Blk. Rio Rita and the 3600 Blk. Green Meadow. Additionally, a TFA in the 2800 Blk. Klondike also occurred during Mid-Watch hours. Flex Platoon Narcotics issues around the Economy Inn and the Brown Suburban. Quality of Life Issues Please check for teens loitering in the evening on Chevy Chase. Traffic Issues Please check for speeding and illegal parking on Lynnbrook.
