PCS Season Leaving JBLM there are a list of items that must be completed prior to leaving the area. Soldiers or Spouses can contact our office for the list of things to do and be provided a Point of Contact at the next PCS site for School Questions specifically for that area. Reminder that most districts frown upon being absent more than 10 days a year so it is imperative that you withdraw your child from the school system completely prior to leaving JBLM. Documentation for special clubs, activities and course work is also important to take with you. And most importantly HAND CARRY all educational records do not place in storage or leave in the car.

Ice thickness is not consistent. Water currents, particularly around narrow spots, bridges, inlets and outlets, are always suspect for thin ice. Beware of ice around partially submerged objects, such as trees, logs brush, embankments or dam structures. Don t judge ice strictly by appearance. Stay away from cracks, seams, pressure ridges, slushy areas and darker areas that signify thinner ice.
