ICS 300 Intermediate (CSTI-certified course) 8 hours January 9, & April 3, 20 hours Note: Please register for ICS 300 and ICS 400 March 13-15, Days 1 & 2 8:00am- Day 3 8:00am- 12:00pm

ICS 100/700: Basic NIMS Training Workshop An eight (8) hour course that meets the requirements of the Basic Incident Command System. This course is designed to introduce the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the

3 Standardized Management System (SEMS), and the Incident Command System (ICS) concepts. This instructor led course is intended to meet the basic level NIMS training requirements for county personnel. This course may also be completed online through the FEMA Independent Study program. Students will receive a FEMA Management Institute (EMI) certificate of completion after successfully passing the end of course exam. Target Audience: response personnel, all government employees, disaster service workers, Amateur Radio Service Ham Radio operators, Search and Rescue Team members, volunteers, and generally anyone who may respond or be involved in coordinating and supporting incident management activities. Pre-requisite: None ICS NIMS Compliant/All Risk-All Hazard Version_INTERMEDIATE ICS A twenty (20) hour Intermediate Incident Command System (ICS) course created for supervisory or management staff that would be assigned in a supervisory or leadership role in the Command or General Staff of an emergency response incident or major pre-planned event. (State Fire Marshal certification may be offered if enough local requests are received in advance of the course.) This course meets NIMS/SEMS/ICS compliance and is a requirement to work in the Stanislaus Operational Area EOC. Note: This is a 20-hour course and may be taken separately from ICS 400. If you want to take both classes, please register for each class. Target Audience: Stanislaus County mid-level management including strike team leaders, task force leaders, unit leaders, division/group supervisors, branch directors and emergency operations center staff. Stanislaus County command and general staff, select department heads with multi-agency coordination system responsibilities, area commanders, emergency managers and emergency operations center managers. Pre-requisite: Completion of: I Introduction to NIMS ICS Introduction to ICS ICS Basic ICS ICS NIMS Compliant/All Risk-All Hazard Version ADVANCED ICS A sixteen (16) hour Advanced Incident Command System (ICS) and Introduction to Operation Center (EOC) course created for supervisory or management staff that would be assigned in a supervisory or leadership role in the Command or General Staff of an emergency response incident or major pre-planned event. (State Fire Marshal certification may be offered if enough local requests are received in advance of the course.) This course meets NIMS/SEMS/ICS compliance and is a requirement to work in the Stanislaus Operational Area EOC. Note: This is a 16-hour course and may be taken separately from ICS 300. Pre-requisite: Completion of: I Introduction to NIMS ICS Introduction to ICS ICS Basic ICS ICS Intermediate ICS NIMS EXECUTIVE COURSE (ICS 402) A 2 hour course designed for local elected officials, chief executives, and administrators. This course covers roles and responsibilities of the policy group, as well as the basics of the Incident Command System, an overview of the California Standardized Management System (SEMS), and Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The course also covers the Multi-Agency Coordination System (MACS) involving interactions with other jurisdictions/agencies to support the management or command of emergency incidents or major pre-planned events. This specially designed course for Stanislaus County public/elected officials meets the requirements of IS700/Introduction to NIMS, ICS100/Introduction to ICS, and ICS402/Executive Course. Target Audience: City Councils, Boards of Supervisors, Boards of Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Administrative Officers, Department Directors, etc. SEMS / NIMS Combined (G606) An 8 hour course combines the following courses: ICS 100 Introduction to Incident Command System Standardized Management System (SEMS) Introduction IS 700 National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction IS 701.a NIMS Multiagency Coordination System (MACS) Course IS 706 NIMS Intrastate Mutual Aid, An Introduction IS 800 National Response Framework, An Introduction This course combines several courses to meet basic level NIMS compliance for emergency management and response personnel. Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety EOC Management and Operations (G775) A 16 hour course focuses on EOC Management and Operations. Content includes Multiagency Coordination, EOC design, how to staff, activate and deactivate an EOC.

5 This course along with ICS/EOC Interface Workshop (G191) is a cornerstone for the State of California, Services, and Operations Center (EOC) credentialing program. This course meets one of the elective requirements for the CalOES/CSTI Management Specialists Certificate. Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety Incident Command Post / EOC Interface (G191) An 8 hour course provides participants with an understanding of ICS/EOC interface. Content includes an overview of ICS and MACS, and a practical exercise to discuss, apply, and validate workshop concepts and ideas for effective ICS and EOC interface. Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety Essential EOC Action Planning (G626E) An 8 hour course focuses on the EOC organizational structure as it relates to EOC Action Planning. Each EOC Section (Mgt, Operations, Plans & Intel, Logistics, and Finance and Admin) will be discussed and illustrate each of the sections roles in the development of an EOC Action Plan. Components of the Planning "P" will be presented to include each step of the planning process. Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety EOC Management Section An 8 hour course focuses on key Operations Center (EOC) positions within the Management Section based on the state OES EOC Section/Position credentialing document.

6 Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety EOC All Sections An 8 hour course focuses on key Operations Center (EOC) positions within the Management, Operations, Planning & Intel, Logistics, & Finance & Admin Sections based on the state OES EOC Section/Position credentialing document. Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety Disaster Recovery (G205) A 20 hour course focuses on various programs related to recovery after a disaster. Content also includes the Recovery Planning process. The core curriculum includes the following subjects: Public Assistance Individual Assistance Recovery Planning at the Local Level Safety Assessment Program Debris Management PDA/IDE Process The Declaration Process Environmental and Historical Considerations Long-Term Recovery and Community Development Disciplines include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement, Medical Services, Management, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Public Safety Special Notice

7 Anyone with emergency management responsibilities, including planning, response, mitigation and or recovery from emergencies is required to be NIMS compliant. All public agencies, including schools, medical and other government organizations that have any role in emergency management need to meet or exceed all NIMS requirements. By attending the courses offered here in Stanislaus County, you will avoid the high registration cost associated with other training (generally $600+) for registration alone. This training will provide you with the necessary skills to respond and be successful in emergency management regardless of your role in our next emergency/disaster response.
