1 52nd Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction) Civil Support Team Mission The 52nd Civil Support Team deploys in support of civil authorities at a domestic Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and [High-Yield] Explosive (CBRNE) or natural disaster incident site by identifying CBRNE agents/substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response measures, and assisting with appropriate requests for state and federal support. This includes intentional or unintentional release of nuclear, biological, radiological, or toxic or poisonous chemical materials, and natural or man-made disasters in the United States that results in, or could result in, catastrophic loss of life or property. 1

14 CST Response Planning 52nd CST deploys Advance Party within 90 minutes of initial call Air load capable; if required by mission No Governor s Proclamation Required CST Commander has the authority to deploy team CST response can be comprised of: technical advice via telephone, partial response, or full response CST can sustain operations for up to 72 hours There is NO FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY incurred by any agencies or their representatives as a result of CST utilization.
