5 HC 130H Hercules HC 130H 1500 series aircraft are ongoing wing box inspections 1700 series will begin in OCT Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management Upgrade Planned APS 137 Upgrade/Replacement Deepwater has developed plans to upgrade 17 H model aircraft to extend their lives through 2025.

6 6 Aircraft stationed at the Aircraft Project Office in E City since 2003 First aircraft will enter the modification line in Dec 06 to add new comms suite, search radar, and tactical stations on the flight deck Expect all aircraft to be missionized by Summer 2008 and be operational in 2009 Permanent location has not been selected HC 130J Project

9 MH 65C Eventually 90 operational airframes. All will be AUF equipped. The MH 65C will replace the leased MH 68A s as AUF helo platform beginning Summer Deployable to all USCG Cutters (New and Legacy)

10 HH 60 Jayhawk 3 rd PDM Cycle now starting which will include: Enhanced PDM to sustain airframe CAAS Cockpit (Glass) (Common Avionics Architecture System) New Electro Optics/Infra red (EO/IR) to replace old FLIR 2000 New Radar to replace RDR 1300 HH 60J becomes HH 60T from 2007 to 2012

11 MH 60J &MH 60T M equals multi mission Airborne Use of Force (AUF) MH 60J s now fielded at CGAS Elizabeth City, San Diego, and Kodiak. All H 60 s will receive A kits as they go through PDM. AUF units will get B kits to finish the M conversion.

27 Coast Guard Aviation Outlook A very dynamic environment exists We can expect new missions such as the National Capital Region and the LADC. New aircraft such as the C 130J and CN 235 (Casa) will enter service in the next couple of years greatly modernizing the aviation fleet. These aircraft will possess the latest in inter operability capabilities to closely tie legacy CG assets and new DHS assets. Together WE will ensure that during the next several years, all mission areas and sister communities are provided the maximum support possible from Coast Guard Aviation
