2 ENTRY-LEVEL LAW ENFORCEMENT (LEE) In order to be considered for employment in an entry-level law enforcement position, candidates must pass a written exam called the Law Enforcement Examination (LEE). Those who pass will remain in the eligible pool for two years. The pool of eligible candidates that result from the LEE will be used to fill positions for law enforcement titles in all Civil Service jurisdictions. We anticipate that the next LEE announcement will be issued in the Spring/Summer of POLICE SERGEANT The Police Sergeant promotional examination is scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Colts Neck High School in Colts Neck, NJ. Two separate administrations will be held on the 16 th. Those scheduled for the first test session will be asked to report by 9:00 AM. Those scheduled for the second test session must report by 12:30 PM. Candidates must report at their scheduled time and no one will be admitted late. For test security purposes, those tested in the AM session must remain in their test rooms until the PM session candidates arrive. At that point, all candidates scheduled for the AM session will be released. You will receive a test notification in the mail confirming the test date, location, and your individual report time. The 2015 Police Sergeant Orientation Guide, which provides an overview of the testing format, along with ways to prepare for the exam, is available on the CSC website. Please continue to check the website for more information. Our method of disseminating information to all interested parties (candidates, appointing authorities, and unions) is to advise them to visit the CSC s website, under Public Safety Testing News, to view the most up-to-date status report on police promotional testing schedules.
