2 t Government of of Bihar Vigilance Department, Soochna Bhavan, 4th Floor, Bailey Road, Patna Recruitment Notice The Govt. of Bihar has decided to strengthen the anti-corruption machinery in order to accelerate the efforts to curb the menace of corruption. To meet this end the Govt. of Bihar has created Special Vigilance Unite (SVU) under the Department of Vigilance for investigation of Disproportionate Assets (DA) and trap cases against public servants. The State Govt. proposes to engage the services of retired ASP/SP rank experienced CBI officers or retired ASP/SP rank from State Cadre having of experience five years in CBI on equivalent rank in the SVU on contractual basis. The officers for this unit will be inducted from amongst those who have superannuated from the CBI or retired police officer from State Cadre having of experience five years in CBI on equivalent rank with outstanding service records and are below 68 (sixty eight years) of age. 2. Since the job being entrusted is of sensitive nature, the officers inducted must have had outstanding service profile. 3. The appointment will be temporary and purely contractual for an initial period of three years subject to renewal every year thereafter as per the need and the performance of the Officer. 4. The candidates will be recruited on contract basis. Hence on the basis of recruitment they will not be entitled to regularization of service. 5. If the performance is not found satisfactory, the contract will be terminated after giving one month prior notice 6. On attainment of sixty eight years of age the contract will automatically expire. (b) Remuneration:- 7. The appointed persons will be given attractive remuneration package. This includes monthly consolidated pay of Rs /- (Rupees Seventy thousand only), besides monthly house rent Rs /- and reimbursement of mobile phone bill up to Rs. 1000/- per month.

The appointed retired police officer will be required to investigate the corruption related cases and handle the cases relating to Disproportionate Assets (DA) of public servants. 9. It will be incumbent upon the inducted officers to pursue the cases to their logical conclusion through speedy trial and successful prosecution. 10. These officers will be vested with the powers of Special Police Officers. (d) How to apply:- 11.
