1 THE REPORT OF ACTIVITIVES OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA WITHIN THE LAST ONE YEAR: BY OLUSOGA A. SOFOLAHAN (OLORI OMO-OBA) LT, FSM,FCE. Brothers & Sisters Scouts, welcome to yet another Annual General Meeting of this great Association, no doubt about the fact that; we have grown tremendously over the last two years that the organization has repositioned herself as not only a local organization that we are all used to for many years, but as an International rated organization that could compete favorably with other Scouting organization worldwide. There were several programs that were conducted over the last One year; though we might not necessarily remember all, but it is worth of note to document some of these programs embarked upon for our records. The goal is for the Chief Commissioner to perform the Executive Summary of most of the Programs that were done, while different Assistant Chief Commissioners are expected to buttress some facts that will relate to their Departments Annual General Meeting was held at Akwa Ibom State (the land of uncommon transformation) on the 20 th to 22 nd of June 2014 with the assistance of the Almighty God and the outgone Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State : Her Lordship Ntem Idongesit Isua, the President of Akwa Ibom State Scout Council, who did not only sat with us to plan the programs steps by steps, one point after the other, but equally commitment her funds into supporting the successful execution of the Annual General Meeting. Appreciation equally goes to the Akwa Ibom State Scout Commissioner, Dr. Ime Etuknwa and the entire Council to treating the National Scout Council to the good hospitality in Akwa Ibom State. While counting on the foregoing, our journey over the last one year are as documented below; like l said, there were many programs, but for want of space, we will document for few programs held. Though initially, all the then intending participants were denied Visa to enter United Kingdom, however, after additional push from the International Department and the Chief Commissioner, all these participants were issued Visas and they travelled for this program. They have since returned to Nigeria having made Nigeria very proud at the Jamboree. (See photo extracts at the photo page).
