36 Film Unit Public Safety Section Accomplishments Implementation of user-friendly website with all filming related information and editable forms to expedite the permitting process Integrated an -based safety watch hiring system District inspections were 96.45% completed (2018) Administered a fair and balanced emergency hiring system Provided two UFSO classes that yielded an additional 15 Uniformed Fire Safety Officers Updated special effects and general hiring guidelines 36

37 Film Unit Public Safety Section Goals Increase staffing to accommodate daily surges in workload without sacrificing routine district inspection cycles, required walk-throughs for upcoming filming projects or daily spot checks Update certified studio, drones, audience show guidelines and conduct meetings with all studios for 100% compliance Update/complete certified studio list and share it with all stakeholders Take steps to increase mobility for Unit Inspectors to allow them to do our work remotely 37

38 Public Safety Section Accomplishments Valley Public Safety (VPS) Unit 100% of all VPS occupancies completed VPS completed over 130 pre and final inspections for RCFE s (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly) VPS handled over 35 referrals from the FMO to investigate for illegal care facilities (i.e., shelters, sober living bridge homes and board in care facilities) VPS turned in 42 FPB Procedure #30 packets that brought 42 (schools and hospitals) into compliance Set-up time tables and target goals for two large hospitals (Olive View and Providence Holy Cross) with their on-going construction projects in order to stay compliant with local, State and NIOSH regulations 38
