Corporate Learning Course Upon completion of Squadron Leadership School (SLS) and learning about squadron operations, senior members should attend the Corporate Learning Course (CLC). The term corporate in the title of this course refers to CAP s status as a nonprofit humanitarian corporation chartered by the United States Congress in Accordingly, wing-level operations carry out the major duties and responsibilities of the corporation for each state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The CLC is designed to explain how a wing operates in each of CAP s major mission elements. Armed with this knowledge, senior members can learn how they and their respective units can best support the wing and fulfill the corporate role of CAP. B. Notification This training will be announced by to Texas Wing Members and is posted on the Texas Wing Calendar. Apply by to the Director no later than 8Jun05. B. Exercise Capacity All CAP members who have previously taken SLS are eligible to attend this training. Maximum personnel including staff, faculty, and participants is 95. C. 5 A course fee of $20 per participant will be charged to help defer the cost of course material, facilities and amenities. This fee will be collected at sign-in on the first day of the course. D. Exercise enrollment procedures All participants are required to submit a CAPF 17a by 8Jun05 to the Director at salcof@yahoo.com and will sign-in on CAPF 11 and CAPF 103 prior to participation in this event. Checks should be made out to 4th Group Civil Air Patrol. Do NOT send applications and money by any method that requires a signature to be received. We will NOT go to the post office to pick up applications. 3. This activity will be conducted in accordance with all applicable CAP regulations and Texas Wing supplements. 4. TRAINING OBJECTIVES Upon completion of the school, members should be able to: 1. Identify the function of the three mission elements of the wing. 2. Explain how the wing operates to carry out the Aerospace Education mission. 3. Explain how the wing operates to carry out the Cadet Programs mission. 4. Explain how the wing operates to carry out the Emergency Services mission. 5. Explain how the mission support functions support the three mission elements of the wing. 6. Analyze situations where core values impact the operation of the wing. CLC Ops Plan Jun 05 Page 5

6 The course is designed for 2 training days of no less than a total of 12 hours of instruction. No less than 6 hours of instruction will be spent on the three mission elements. 5. STAFF REQUIREMENTS A. Exercise staff Trained CAP personnel are required for this exercise. The Director will request support from personnel qualified to assist in various staff and instructor positions. B. Staff Requirements The Director will assemble the necessary staff. 6. UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS Attendees Appropriate CAP uniform. Preferred uniform is Class B Blues or White Aviator Shirt with Gray slacks. Mission Staff Appropriate CAP uniform. Preferred uniform is Class B Blues or White Aviator Shirt with Gray slacks. 7. ADMINISTRATION A. Sign-in All staff and participants at the project location require sign-in on CAPF 11 and CAPF 103. B. Credential Verification Procedures All attendees will be checked at sign-in for CAP membership card. All participants driving CAP vehicles are required to have current: 1. CAP drivers license 2. 7 a. Vehicle log book b. Current insurance receipt (you may be asked to show it to the security guard at the gate) c. Daily vehicle usage sheet C. Resource Listing: None D. Forms/documents 8. FACILITIES Only current CAP forms will be used. A. Classroom Treat the facilities with the utmost respect. The Commander of the Addison Composite Squadron and the 4 th Group Commander expects the facility to be returned in the same condition it was made available. Items brought with you will leave with you in addition to items issued to you for the course. The host squadron CLC project staff will clean the facility after you leave. B. Telephone access 9. Lunch both days will be at your own expense. You may bring your lunch if you prefer. No cooking facilities are available nor are they authorized. B. Medical Emergency number is 911. There will be no CAP assigned medical officer for this event, due to its location and close proximity to the Addison Airport Fire Department, Ambulance and Police Department. 8 C. Transportation CAP vehicle use may be requested in advance through CAPERS. CAP aircraft can fly in to Addison Airport (FAA identifier KADS). FirstAir FBO offers the lowest cost avgas at a discount to CAP members. FirstAir s telephone number is (972) Identify yourself as a CAP member to FirstAir personnel and advise them that you are flying in for a CAP activity on the airport property. Shuttle service between FirstAir and the Addison Group Building will be available, if scheduled with the Director in advance.
