21 Corenza (or Carenza), Sebastano An Error Corrected When the State of New York published its role of honor, listing the dead from this state by county, in 1922, a soldier by the name of Sebastino Corenza was listed. His residence was given as Monroe St. Bristol, NY This soldier was erroneously credited to the Town of Bristol in Ontario County. In fact, research has shown that Sebastino Corenza [variant spelling] was actually a resident of Bristol, Connecticut, although he is credited with entering service from New York. He was a recent immigrant from Italy. He is buried in the St. Mihiel American Cemetery in France. See the website of the American Battle Monuments Commission: Kincaid, Leslie J. Roll of Honor.
