5 Major General Edward Greer USA, Re tired General Greer, A Distinguished Military Graduate of the West Virginia State College Army ROTC in 1948,was born in Gary, West Virginia on March 8, His assignments included Commanding Officer, First Battalion, Seventh Artillery, United States Army, Pacific-Korea; Author-Instructor, Department of Command, United States Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Deputy Commander, XXIV Corps Artillery, United States Army, Pacific-Vietnam; Commanding Officer, 108th Artillery Group; Plans Programs, and Budgets Office, Assistant Secretary of Defense, Washington DC; Commander United States Army Training Center, Engineer, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Deputy Commander, United States Army Personnel Center, Arlington, Virginia. His medals and awards include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Army Commendation Medal, and Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. General Greer attended West Virginia State College and George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biological Science and a Master of Science in International Affairs, Respectively. His Military Schools include the Artillery School, the Strategic Intelligence School, Army Command and General Staff College, and the National War College. General Greer is now a successful businessman in EI Paso, Texas.
6 Major General Charles C. Rogers General Rogers, A Distinguished Military Graduate of the West Virginia State College Army ROTC in 1951,was born in Claremont, West Virginia on September 6, As a Lieutenant Colonel serving in Vietnam, he became one of the few Americans and the only West Virginia State graduate to win this nation's highest award for heroism-the Congressional Medal of Honor. He distinguished himself by conspicuous gallantry in action on November 1, 1968as Commander, 1st Battalion, 5th Artillery, 1st Infantry Division during the defense of a forward fire support base in the Republic of Vietnam. As the enemy launched continuous human wave ground assaults, with complete disregard for his own safety, Lt. Col. Rogers moved through a hail of enemy fire to direct artillery fire and led his troops in the ground counter attacks against the enemy. Although severly wounded, Lt. Col. Rogers continued to direct his men until the enemy was defeated and repelled. His medals and awards are the Medal of Honor, Legion of Merit (with Oakleaf Cluster) Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal with V Device and 3 Oakleaf Clusters, Air Medal (10 awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with 3 Oakleaf Clusters), Purple Heart, and Parachutist Badge. General Rogers attended West Virginia State College and Shippensburg State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in General Mathematics and a Master of Science in Vocational Educational Guidance, respectively. His assignments include tours of duty with Artillery Units at Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Fort Devens, Massachusetts, and in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He has held command positions at Battery Battalion, Group, Corp Artillery, and Corps Levels. His key staff assignments have been in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Military Operations, Pentagon, and as Deputy Chief of Staff for ROTC, Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia., His military schools include the Artillery School, Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College. General Rogers is now the Deputy Commanding General for V Corps, US Army Europe.
7 General Williams, a Distinguished Military Graduate of West Virginia State College Army ROTC in 1950,was born on July 30, 1930 in Whiteville, North Carolina. The military schools he attended were The Artillery School, Basic and Advanced Courses; The Armed Forces Staff College; United States Naval War College. His assignments as a commander include three Batteries, one in combat-korea, one in CONUS and one in Germany; two Battalions, one in combat-vietnam, one in CONUS; a Field Artillery Group-Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; a Post-Fort Myer, Virginia; Deputy Commanding General, Military District of Washington; a Corps Artillery-VII Corps Arty; a Community-Augsburg, Germany. Highlights of his staff duty assignments include Department of the Army-Office of the Asst. Chief of Staff, Intelligence and Office of Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel; State Department-Arms Control and Disarmament. His medals and awards are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Air Medal (with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters). His source of Commission was ROTC (West Virginia State- College). General Williams is now the Deputy Inspector General of the US Army.

Brown, Jr., a Distinguished Military Graduate of Army ROTC at West Virginia State College in 1954,was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 21, Among his assignments have been Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer, 2d Airborne Battle Group, 325th Infantry, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Assistant G-2 (Operations), HQ 3d Armored Division, US Army Europe- Germany; Battery Commander, Operations Officer, and Battalion Executive Officer, 2d Battalion, 6th Artillery, U.S. Army Europe-Germany; Commander, 519th Military Intelligence Battalion, 525th Military Intelligence Group, United States Army Pacific-Vietnam; Intelligence Estimator, Soviet/East European Division, Directorate for Estimates, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.; Commander, U.S. Army Field Station, Deputy Chief of Staff Intelligence, US Army, Army Forces Command, Ft. McPherson, GA. General Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from West Virginia State College and a Master of Arts Degree in Government (Russian Area Studies) from Indiana University. His military education includes the Infantry Basic Course, the Artillery Advanced Course, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, USA Russian Institute, United States Naval War College (Distinguished Graduate), and the Defense Language Institute (Russian and German) as well as the National Senior Cryptologic Officer's Course. In his more than 25 year career, General Brown's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oakleaf Clusters) Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Master Parachutist Badge and Aircraft Crewman Badge. He is now the Assistant Vice Director for Estimates and Deputy Vice Director for Foreign Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency.
