We advise you to check the training schedule regularly for updates to class enrollment and cancelations. The designated parking for the academy is located at Main St. & Ave. G parking lot C & 10 th St. & Ave. G., parking lot L. Classroom Attire: Will consist of agency uniform or casual office attire. TRAINING SCHEDULE: January 1- March 31, 2019 Please let us know if you are planning to attend. It is imperative that you pre-register for all classes you want to attend. Failure to do so may result in the class being cancelled for low enrollment, failure of the instructor to bring enough materials for all students who arrive, or refusal to allow you to attend the class in situations where enrollment is limited. If you are signed up for a class, please notify the Academy within 24 hours before the class that you will not be unable to attend. This may give someone else an opportunity to take your place. All training will be held at the LSO Training Academy at 712 Broadway at no charge, unless otherwise specified. TCOLE Licensee Training Mandates (09/01/ /31/2021) Training Unit- each 2yr Unit (09/01/17-08/31/19, 09/01/19-08/31/21), Peace Officers must take: The current Legislative Update (First Unit-3185, Second Unit-3186)(Rule 218.3(a)) 40hrs, including the above 3185/6 course (Rule 218.3(a)) Training Cycle- each 4yr Cycle (current 09/01/17-08/31/21), the Peace Officer must take: If the Peace Officer has Intermediate Certification or higher- no Cycle requirements If the Peace Officer does not achieve Intermediate Certification before the end of the Cycle- Cultural Diversity (3939), Crisis Intervention Training (3843), Special Investigative Topics (3232), De-escalation (1849) (Rule 218.3(d))
