2 GENERAL INFORMATION REGISTRATION & REFUNDS Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis, and are not confirmed until registration and payment is completed online. Space is limited, so we strongly recommend registering as early as possible. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. A complete refund will be issued if this occurs. If you need to cancel a registration, you must do so at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund (minus a $10.00 processing fee). Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to the program date are not refundable. If possible and sufficient class space is available, registration may be transferred to another date. Promotional codes, for online registration, are assigned and are intended for use by pre-designated users only. Registrants found to have used unauthorized promotional codes will be required to pay full course fees or have registration cancelled. ACCREDITATION St. Charles County Ambulance District is approved as an EMS training entity through the Missouri Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. Certificates and CEUs will be awarded upon completion of applicable courses. WHAT TO WEAR Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to class, as students will practice skills during some courses. Also, bring a light jacket, coat, or sweatshirt to class.

Your registration for a class is not confirmed unless you register and pay on-line. TEXTBOOKS Students will be required to purchase textbooks on their own if one is required for a specific course. The title and ISBN has been listed next to the course for the required books. Location The St. Charles County Ambulance District Training Center is located at 4141 Mexico Road in St. Peters, behind SCCAD headquarters, just east of the intersection of Mexico and Jungermann (next to US Bank). Please park at the front of the building only in MARKED parking spots or at our Old location on Old Mill Parkway in the designated student parking areas. 4 CONTINUING EDUCATION EMS Safety (NAEMT Course)* 8 a.m. 5 p.m. Course fee $100 EMS Safety Book 2nd Edition ISBN Students will receive 8 CEU s and a 4-year certification NAEMT s EMS Safety Course aims to promote a culture of EMS safety and to help reduce the number and intensity of injuries incurred by EMS practitioners in carrying out their work. This course helps increase awareness and understanding of EMS safety and practices and develops students ability to effectively implement them. Covered topics include: safety in emergency vehicles, at the operational scene and while handling patients; patient, practitioner and bystander safety and personal health; and discussions on risk assessment and decision-making skills.
