William Reall NEW EMPLOYEES: Officer Bryan Edmonston completed phase one of his training with FTO Arribas SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS: Anthony Frazier was arrested for Burglary to a dwelling, theft, and criminal mischief. Manning Potts was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Cannabis, and providing a false name to LEO. Several Citizen Police Academy participants have completed Ride-Alongs with officers on Delta Squad. SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS REPORT SUBMITTED BY: Sgt. Griffith presented SRO Program and Gang Activity at the Citizens Police Academy DETECTIVE BUREAU Submitted by: Det. Eric Sherouse SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS/INVESTIGATIONS: Laquita Green, Burglary and subsequent Fraud charges Two (2) separate cases from 2013 were cleared with arrest and follow-up of Justin Lawson Mario Crawford, Burglary/Dwelling Michael Bryant, Harassing Telephone calls, regarding an investigation referred by Lakeland Police Department Det. Mike Prevatt presented a Domestic Violence Program at the Citizens Police Academy on Feb. 18 th Det. Eric Sherouse, Det. Prevatt and Det. Steven Zawacki were all Featured and presented at the Citizens Police Academy on Feb. 27 th OTHER INFORMATION: Detectives are currently assigned 157 active cases/investigations

4 COMMUNITY SERVICES TEAM (C.S.T.) Submitted by: Cpl. Bryan Dorman Educational Achievements: Cpl. Dorman attended Excellence in Supervision training at City Hall Officer Eric Sudhoff attended Firearms Instructor School in Havana, FL. Ofc. Sudhoff was able to successfully pass the course and obtain his state certification as a Firearms instructor. Notable Arrests: Johnny Stacy for Domestic Violence Battery, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer and Violation of Probation Community Events: Conducted a DUI/Traffic crash/radar demonstration at the Citizens Police Academy on February 6. CST Presented at the Kiwanis Club luncheon on February 7. At this luncheon, members presented a new crime fighting tool, CopDots, to the attendees. In addition, to further promote the program, a drawing was held and a Kiwanis Club member was awarded a CopDots pen. Attended the EPAC meeting on February 11. At this meeting, the Youth Summit was discussed where the CST is involved in several activities. Citizens Police Academy was held on February 18 where Domestic Violence was the topic. CST along with K9 Officer Tommy Stokes conducted a morning of training with students of the Criminal Justice Academy at Bartow High School. At this morning of training, DUI, Traffic Enforcement and a plethora of other Law Enforcement topics were thoroughly discussed with the students. A K9 demonstration was also conducted. This was a two day event, February 25 & 26. Citizens Police Academy on February 27 where the Detective Division gave a presentation on criminal investigations. Met with Dr. Owens, a school physiologist, about an upcoming robotics competition at Spessard Holland Elementary. CST will host the competition, set for May 3, Assisted Detective Zawacki and the HIDTA unit with the execution of a search warrant on 9 th Avenue in Bartow. Eight (8) people were arrested for narcotic activities. This was an ongoing investigation that started with concerns of neighbors at the Town Hall meeting a couple of months ago with City of Bartow Commissioner Leo Longworth at Carver Rec. CST and HIDTA will continue to monitor the area for any narcotic activity. Community Service: Focused enforcement and patrol activities in the EPAC area of Bartow. During this effort, several contacts were made with the local residents and crime watch activities were discussed. Extensive patrolling was conducted at Azalea Gardens in reference to narcotic complaints. Conducted downtown business walkthroughs to offer assistance to business owners if needed. Conducted traffic enforcement in school zones and East State Road 60 in reference to traffic complaints. This was worked in conjunction with School Resource Officers. CST worked in several schools and assisted answering calls for service to assist Patrol and School Resource divisions.

CST utilized the new speed/message trailer at several key locations to warn motorists of various concerns.

On February 28 th, the message trailer was set up on Main Street to assist the Bloomin Arts Festival folks with reminding drivers to move all vehicles from Main Street to make room for Festival displays. Current Activities: Working several complaints in the city in reference to narcotics activities, and will continue to work flexible shifts to increase patrol to deter burglaries and other criminal offenses and assist Patrol whenever needed to ensure adequate police coverage in the city. Currently working night shift to deter burglaries in zones 3 and 5. Continue to present CopDots to citizens as a new crime fighting tool.
