2 MISSION ABOUT THE 2018 EVENING OF TRIBUTE The Navy SEAL Foundation provides a comprehensive set of programs specifically designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate, and provide critical support to the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community during times of illness, injury or loss. We strengthen the force and family and provide a level of security that enables warriors to focus solely on their missions. Created by former SEALs, Eric Frohardt and Sean Haberberger, the Evening of Tribute is Denver s most anticipated event in Colorado, with its focus on honoring and supporting the SEAL community. To date, the Evening of Tribute has raised over $1.8 million to support the NSW community through the Navy SEAL Foundation. COMMITMENT TO NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE AND ITS FAMILIES The Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. Since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, there has been an unprecedented demand for our Special Operations Forces. Never before has so much been asked of so few, from so many, for so long. Established in 2000 to serve U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare support personnel and their families, the Navy SEAL Foundation s programs are focused on the preservation of the Naval Special Warfare force and their families. We provide a comprehensive set of programs specifically designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate families and provide critical support during times of illness, injury, loss and transition. Like the community we serve, the Navy SEAL Foundation is a solid and high performing organization committed to excellence. The Navy SEAL Foundation has received our 6th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. We are one of only 59 charities of more than 8,500 to have earned a perfect score of 100 for our financial health, accountability and transparency, which puts us in the top 0.6% of the rated charities. 5 THANK YOU Thanks to you, the Navy SEAL Foundation is the support team that helps inject resiliency, stability and certainty for the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Community through a stable portfolio of programs. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE IN 2017 We were able to provide over $13 MILLION in critical support of the NSW community, including: $4.4 MILLION $2 MILLION in Warrior & Family Support Services invested in Education and Empowerment To address the mounting cumulative physical and mental challenges our warriors and their families face, we hosted our Second Annual Whole Warrior Health Collective Impact Forum, an event designed to improve the provision of health services to military personnel and their families in the fields of: Neuroscience, Neuroplasticity and Neural Integration, Optimizing Sleep to Perform, Recover and Thrive, Chronic Pain and the Management of Complex and Chronic Pain, and How to Turn Stress into an Advantage. Over 700 participants and care providers were educated in the newest treatment techniques, and we ll see this impact in the quality of medical care a service member or veteran receives. IN 2017 THE NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION INVESTED $5.2 MILLION IN A COMPREHENSIVE PORTFOLIO OF SUPPORT TO: CHILDREN SPOUSES, FIANCÉES & SIGNIFICANT OTHERS PARENTS SIBLINGS ~$1 MILLION in Transition Assistance to support the 250 SEALs annually who transition from military service to civilian life Because of your support, the Foundation was able to expand its Signature Programs to NSW Commands in remote locations in addition to major areas. In 2017 Germany and Stennis experienced their first 'Princess and her Frog' event and 'Breakfast with Santa' was also expanded. These events provide NSW Families the ability to reconnect in a secure environment as well as create memories to keep with them when they are separated by deployment for great lengths of time.
