You are required to attend the 305 Squadron Promotion Training Day 1/15 to be held at the Squadron premises at the Dee Why MUD on the 20 June Objective 2. The following objectives of this activity are; a. To prepare JNCO and SNCO candidates for upcoming winter promotion courses b. To provide development and mentoring opportunities for senior cadets of the squadron to impart their experiences and knowledge to new or developing SLT members Personal Preparation 3. It is important that you read this document carefully, and are thoroughly prepared for the activity. 4. All JNCO and SNCO candidates are to prepare 2 x practice lessons to present on the day. All training aid materials and lesson resources should be brought on the day.

2 5. Senior cadets are to ensure that they are prepared for their involvement in training program. Forms and Documentation 6. Cadets must carry an up-to-date Cadet Defence ID card with them at all times. Any cadet without a Defence ID card must carry an up-to-date PH299 blue book with photo inside. Any cadet without one of these forms of identification will not be granted access to the Dee Why MUD. 7. You must complete a copy of the TR66 Parental Consent Form stating clearly your MEDICARE NUMBER and its EXPIRY Date. It must be signed and Initialled in sections 3 & 4 by your parents or legal guardian. Section 1 must included all known medical conditions, allergies, etc... even if temporary. If you are over 18 you may sign it yourself, but still need to complete all the information areas. Have this document ready to present to staff, for checking, on arrival. 8. NOTE: This must be the correct version 4.4 NOV 11 and should be sourced via this activity located in 'My Activities' in CadetOne - This will populate many of the required fields and ensure the current version. Should you be unable to access C1 the correct version can be sourced from the AAFC Intranet Resource Centre here: (file: AAFC FORM TR66 Consent Form AAFC Activities Ver 4.4). Medical Conditions, Allergies and Dietary requirements 9. It is important that you inform the Planning Coordinator as soon as possible if you have any medical conditions, allergies or special dietary requirements, as well as stating them clearly on your Parental Consent Form. This will ensure that your needs are taken into account when attending the activity. 10. Cadets should also arrive at the activity with copies of any required medical management plan. 11. The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is unable to provide a severe food allergy free environment (such as from peanuts) in relation to the consumption of food during cadet activities. Such a risk may be life threatening for people who suffer from a severe food allergy. Parents may consider it is in their child s best interest not to allow participation of their child in the proposed activity. In the event that the child is allowed to attend a catered cadet activity, the parents may choose to provide, at their own expense, sufficient food to cover the duration of the activity. 12. If you or your parents have any concerns on these matters, you should speak with your SQN staff. Travel to Activity

3 13. Travel to the activity will be by own means. At the time of your arrival, you are to report to 305 Squadron Cadet HQ at 0830hrs. At the conclusion of the activity, you can be collected from the same location that night at 1500hrs. 14. Timings are located at Annex A Dress 15. DPCU s are to be worn IAW the AAFC s Uniform Instructions 16. You are to ensure that you have a regulation haircut on your arrival for the activity. Messing 17. A commercially bought lunch will be provided for cadets. Ensure dietary requirements/food allergies are all stated on TR66 Parental Consent Form. Equity & Diversity and Inappropriate Behaviour 18. The OIC will conduct a briefing on these matters when you arrive at the activity, however, all members are reminded of the instructions entitled Unacceptable Sexual Behaviour by members of the AAFC and Part 2, Chapter 7 of the Policy Manual, and are required to observe the standards set out therein. Members are also reminded that any investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, equity & diversity breaches or fraternisation will be thorough. Involvement in such matters may result in your removal from camp, potentially at the expense of your parent or guardian. Prohibited Items 19. The following items are prohibited on camp: c. weapons, including pocket, sheath or flick knives or similar items; d. fireworks, ammunition or pyrotechnics of any description; e. smoking material of any description including matches and lighters; f. alcohol or drugs in any form (Authorised prescription medication is to be logged with appointment); g. electronic entertainment devices; and h. pornography, or any offensive material. Nominal Rolls 20. A nominal roll of staff and cadets attending the activity is as per Cadet One.

Further explanation of what Promotional Attributes actually are! IT lesson preparation and practice time. Cadets are to ensure that they bring all required training aid materials for lessons along XI/CWOFF Drill Lessons, C&C Practice, MI Practice ALL Lunch XO Leadership Activities XI/CWOFF Drill Lessons, C&C Practice, MI Practice Continued CUO/CWOFF Final Prep and questions.
