1 PRESS RELEASE Christopher Protsman Chief of Police Released: September 4, 2018 POLICE BLOTTER Monday, August 27, An officer stopped a subject at Dixie and Cardington for no lights on a bicycle. James L. Moore (W/M/54 was arrested for Drug Possession and transported to jail An officer conducted a traffic stop at S. Dixie and Sacramento for a moving violation. Lori A. Varney (W/F/50) was issued a summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Tuesday, August 28, Ptl. Woolf responded to 1850 E Dorothy Ln, Bob Evans Restaurant, on a disturbance call. The subject causing the disturbance left the scene, but was located near Archer s Tavern. June F. Doss, w/f, 53, was arrested on a Dayton PD warrant (original charge of a traffic violation & resisting arrest), and transported to KPD Jail While searching for a burglary suspect, officers located Michael J. Rawers (W/M/38). Rawers had an active warrant through Moraine for FTA / Traffic Offense. The warrant was confirmed and Rawers was taken into custody and transported to the KPD Jail Officers were sent to 4708 Sunray on the report of hand grenades being found at the residence. The DPD bomb squad responded and determined that there were 12 possibly live hand grenades that needed to be
2 disposed of. They were taken to Moraine Farm where they were detonated Officers were sent to the McDonald s at 2901 Wilmington on the report of Matthew Fowler, w/m/39, being there and having multiple warrants including a statewide pick warrant. He was Charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drugs. Fowler was also arrested for several warrants Wednesday, August 29, An officer stopped a vehicle at Stroop and Southern for a red light stop bar violation. Melinda M. Williamson (W/F/36) was arrested for a Xenia PD warrant for Child Endangering, and transported to KPD jail where she was issued summons for Possession of Drugs and Paraphernalia Summons was issued to Deborah D. Denney (W/F/30) for Drug Abuse Instruments and Littering An officer responded to 1472 Central Park on a hit skip crash. A witness identified unit #1 which was located nearby. O Joy M. Gramman (B/F/50) was arrested for OVI and transported to jail, where she provided a breath sample BAC Thursday, August 30, Officers responded to 4927 Harwich Ct for an assault complaint. Walter C. Nicholson (W/M/26) was arrested for Assault Officers observed a subject in the 2700 block of S. Dixie Hwy who appeared to be intoxicated. Darion E. Brewer, U/M/29, was arrested for disorderly conduct/public intoxication Officers conducted a traffic stop at E. Dorothy Lane at Larue. Michael A. McFadden, W/M/48, was found to have a Hamilton County SO felony warrant for possession of drugs. The warrant was confirmed and McFadden was arrested without incident
3 1900 An officer was on patrol when he observed a subject who appeared intoxicated. Steven R. Flytn, w/m/46 was arrested for public intoxication Friday, August 31, An officer attempted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation at Ackerman and Lincoln Park. James T. Jordan (W/M/46) was arrested for OVI and Fleeing and Eluding, and transported to KPD jail. He agreed to a breath test, with a 0.145% result Officers responded to 1805 Roslyn Ave on a menacing complaint. Donald L. Ritter (W/M/43), was arrested for aggravated menacing and transported to the Kettering Jail Summons Patricia A Lakes (W/F/51) drug possession An officer was dispatched to 1920 E. Whipp Road on an intoxicated subject contacting KPD Dispatch. Charles T. Pitts, W/M/57, was found to intoxicated and unable to care for himself as well as having a Dayton warrant for aggravated menacing and assault. The warrant was confirmed and Pitts was arrested. Pitts was issued a summons for DC/PI An officer made a traffic stop at 4125 Wilmington Pike. James L. T. Daniels, W/M/35, had an entered FTA warrant from Clark County SO- Child Support violation. The warrant was confirmed and Daniels was arrested An officer observed Melissa S. Klepinger, W/F/38, operating a vehicle in the area of Claybourne and Berwin. Klepinger also has a suspended license and committed a moving violation. Klepinger was stopped and the warrant was confirmed by Dispatch. Klepinger was arrested for a Waynesville PD warrant for unauthorized use of property and cited for driving under suspension and the moving violation Officers were dispatched to the area of Croftshire and Woodbriar on the report of an intoxicated subject. Thomas D. Storck, W/M/64, was arrested for disorderly conduct/public intoxication Saturday, September 1, An officer was on a PHC at Speedway, 2920 Shroyer, and observed David R. Sweatt, W/M/33 who had an MCSO warrant for breaking and entering. The warrant was confirmed and Sweatt was arrested. Sweatt was also charged with possession of drugs
4 1538 An officer was following up on a theft at 2667 Nacoma. A bike was reported stolen on 8/31/18 and Ptl. Burian was able to follow leads and recover the stolen bike. The bike was returned to the owner. A juvenile, Royce D. Mosley, W/M/11, was charged with theft and released to the custody of his grand-mother An officer stopped a vehicle at S. Dixie at the north city limits for a moving violation. Donje-Ahkii Seay, B/M/24, was cited for driving under suspension. The passenger, Delente B. Jenkins, B/M/27, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana An officer observed a vehicle commit a moving violation and stopped the vehicle at 2274 Patterson Road. Mary K. Embree, W/F/40, was arrested for possession of drugs (F5) and possession of drug paraphernalia An officer stopped a vehicle at 1700 Patterson Blvd for a moving violation. Lonnie D. Johnson, B/M/30, was found to have two entered warrants. The warrants, one from DPD and one from Vandalia, were confirmed by Dispatch. Johnson was arrested for the warrants, given a summons for open container, and cited for numerous traffic offenses Officers were dispatched to Dot s Market, 2274 Patterson Road, on an intoxicated subject. Michael Stamper, W/M/68, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication An officer stopped a vehicle at Pepito s, 3201 Wilmington Pike, for an equipment violation. James Brown Jr, W/M/43, was cited for numerous suspensions. Shane C. Elam, W/M/43, was charged with felony CCW, improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle, having weapons under disability, and for a Xenia PD warrant An officer checked a registration on Justice Web which showed the current driver being suspended. Shawn R. Grierson, W/M/32, was cited for no driver s license and multiple suspensions. The owner, Jessica H. Gibson, W/F/33, was cited for wrongful entrustment and issued a summons for possession of marijuana Officers were dispatched to 1805 Roslyn, Apt.2, on an unwanted subject with a possible warrant. Beau B. Boyd, W/M/20, was located and arrested for a KMC FTC warrant, two felony CPC/MCSO probation warrants, and a MCSO FTA warrant An officer stopped a vehicle at Patterson Blvd and Schantz. The driver, Jeremy M. Banks, W/M/24, was found to have an MCSO warrant. The warrant was confirmed by Dispatch and Banks was arrested Sunday, September 2, 2018
5 0231 An officer conducted a traffic stop on Wilmington at Imperial. Dylan J. Sturkol (W/M/27) was arrested for felony drug possession Officers responded to 3609 Valleywood on a burglary in progress. Joanna K. Stacey (W/F/33) was arrested for burglary and transported to jail Officers were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot on a disturbance. Giovany Louie Banard Bryant, (B/M/21) was arrested, transported to the Kettering Jail, and charged with assault An officer stopped a vehicle at 1940 S. Smithville Road. David Allen Antonio Flemings Jr, B/M/24, Christopher M. Johnson Jr, B/M/26 and Carlaya L. Blanton, B/F/20, were arrested for drug trafficking, drug possession, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and CCW An officer was dispatched to KMH to meet hospital security. Ryan L. Gregory, W/M/33, was arrested for possession of drugs (F5), possession of dangerous drugs (M1), and possession of drug abuse instruments An officer stopped a vehicle at Patterson Blvd and S. Dixie Hwy. Rahsaan L. Peebles, B/M/36, had an entered West Carrollton PD FTA warrant. The warrant was confirmed by Dispatch and Peebles was arrested
