1 Document o Easylink to iebert Sitelink Module PRODUCT DESCRIPTIO The Easylink Module mounts in an enclosure (P/ 58700, 115 Vac or P/ 58795, 0 Vac). Once installed, the Easylink Module is positioned approximately 1/4 inches off the back wall of the enclosure on a board bracket and four standoffs. There are two manmachine interface () ports on the Module the and the MODEM. These ports are RS ports with quickconnect RJ11 jacks. OTE: All circuits are supervised, except for the MODEM and ports. The Memory Board, which is located underneath the Memory Board cover, plugs into the Easylink Board and contains the iebert Sitelink module firmware (readonly memory (ROM)). Power is supplied to the Easylink Board via a 1 Vdc plugin power supply (P/ 5451, 115 Vac or 54516, 0 Vac). OTE: Refer to the Easylink to iebert Sitelink Technical Manual (5874) for further information about the system installation and programming constraints. Use only Black Box Corporation P/ IC109AR (115 Vac), P/ IC109AE (0 Vac) OR iebert REPOPT. Trunk Interface II will not work. The interface is not required with Sitelink 4 or Sitelink 1. One 115V or 0V (depending on device) receptacle per sitelink to power the Black Box or iebert REPOPT. Cabling and connectors (igure 7 or igure 8). PREREQUISITES CAUTIO: Always wear an electrostatic discharge wrist strip and discharge accumulated static before touching field panel components. Easylink enclosure installed (see Installation Instructions P/ 58701). All conduit runs to enclosure complete. Staefa and iebert systems installed and checked out by certified representatives for each system. These checkouts must confirm that each system is operating and ready to communicate with the other system. Communication network wire runs from dedicated Staefa et Controller Trunk to Easylink with wire leads stripped and mating connector available. All required tools and prerequisites from iebert system completed. Page 1 of 7

ISTRUCTIOS Preparing to Install the Easylink Board CAUTIO: Before removing or installing the Easylink Board, ensure that the power is shut O on the board (igure 1). 1. Place the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on your wrist and attach it to a good earth ground.. Remove the temporary connector cover that is wrapped around the board bracket (igure ). igure. 3 Document o Installing the Easylink Board BOARD BRACKET WITH STADOS CAUTIO: Improperly aligning and/or installing the board may damage it. WIRE COVER 6. Plug the grounding strap wire into the grounding spade labeled JP on the Easylink Module (igure 1). 7. Remove the and B connectors from the temporary cover. Reserve for later use. 8. Connect the Easylink B Port and Staefa et Controller Trunk using the guidelines in igure 7.. Move the TT/485 switch to the RS485 position for the Staefa et Controller trunk that is dedicated to Easylink (igure 5). igure. Easylink Enclosure Inside View. 1. Rotate the top two plastic standoffs on the board bracket so that the clip of the standoff is positioned at the top. (igure ). TT TRUK C00R1 RS485 igure 4. Module Installation.. With the EDs and connectors facing you, slide the bottom of the board at a 10 angle into the bottom guides on the board bracket (igure 4).. Position the Module over the standoffs. 4. Straighten the grounding strap so that the spade connector is not behind the Easylink bracket. 5. Push the Module cover back until each standoff snaps into position. 4 Document o Connecting Easylink to iebert Sitelink System There are three methods of connecting Easylink to iebert Sitelink System: Sitelink4 or Sitelink1 direct connection Sitelink DC 4i or SitelinkDC 1i using Black Box Device Sitelink DC 4i or SitelinkDC 1i using REPOPT ollow the corresponding steps to connect the Easylink to the iebert Sitelink System: Sitelink4 or Sitelink1 direct connection 1. OTE: When using multiple Black Boxes, switch S of the Black Box furthest from the Easylink Enclosure (assuming series connection) will be on. All other S switches will be off.. Make cables per diagram in igure 7. OTE: With the IC109AR (115 Vac), you can use the RS cable provided by the Black Box if the cabling does not need to pass through conduit. 7 1 B Document o POWERIG THE EASYIK TO IEBERT ollow these steps to connect power to the Easylink: 1. Insert the DI plug into the DI socket labeled 1 Vdc on the Easylink Module (igure 9). 1 VDC S S S S 1 VDC COECTOR 0019R1 000R1 igure Vac Power Supply Plugged into Power Receptacle.. Switch on power to Easylink (igure 1). OTE: Power is on when EDs on the bottom of the board are lit. 4.
