Governor Ervin has a distinguished past as you will see from her bio. Our District 7730 will benefit greatly from her leadership and will be even stronger by having her experience in life and as a Rotarian leading our 49 clubs as we Light Up Rotary. The South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club welcomes District Governor Vanessa Ervin! I am also proud of the 9 Paul Harris Fellows that will be awarded today at our meeting. This is the most wonderful way for our club members to truly show the importance Rotarians place on The Rotary Foundation and the work it does around the world AND in our own backyard. Meeting Adjourned Rotarian Birthdays Bryd, Melissa - August 3 Staley, Gary - August 13 Vanessa Ervin has been a member of the Jacksonville Rotary Club for 22 years, and the President/CEO of Carobell, Inc. for 20 years. Carobell is a private nonprofit organization licensed by the North Carolina Department of Human Resources and the Department of Public Instruction to provide residential, medical and educational services to individuals with cognitive and intellectual disabilities, and has locations in Hubert, Swansboro and Morehead City. Vanessa attended the University of San Francisco where she received her Masters in Rehabilitation Administration as well as Masters in business Administration. Prior to her studies on the west coast, she attended the University of New Mexico and received her B.A. in Special Education. She is also an ordained Minister and has served in that
