1 ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP (Scott Allen Memorial Scholarship) AAUW (American Association of University Women) Scholarship is based on written essay, financial need, activities and honors, and scholarship and class standing. Applicant must be accepted to an accredited four-year college/university. Applicant must be in good scholastic standing. Due Date: By announced deadline. This is a paper application AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY Applicant must be a graduating senior of Iron Mountain High School. Initial consideration may be given to students who parents or grandparents are member of the American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary Unit #50; if no applicants meeting this criteria, consideration will then be given to a collegebound senior who demonstrates financial need. Due Date: March 9 This is a paper application ANNE LOOK EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be a graduating senior of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, North Dickinson or Norway high school. Applicant must have averaged a 2.75 GPA through their high school career. Applicant must be pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education (first priority); careers in General Education (teaching) will be considered next. Due Date: March 1. This is a paper application ANTIQUE CAR CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (Upper Peninsula Antique Car Club) Applicant must be advancing his/her education in an automotive related field. Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited college or training institution. Applicant must have maintained a 2.0 GPA through seven semesters of high school. How to Apply: Students must be nominated by their instructor at the Dickinson-Iron Technical Education Center. NO APPLICATIONS ARE GIVEN OUT AT IRON MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL. Applications must be returned by announced due date. BACCO SCHOLARSHIP (Medio J. Bacco Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must come from a family of modest means. Applicant must pursue a four-year engineering, including architecture and construction management degree at a college/university of their choice. Applicant must have demonstrated proficiency in mathematics. Due Date: April 11. This is an on-line application BERT HARVEY SCHOLARSHIP (Bert Harvey Memorial Scholarship) if available Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited four-year college or university. Applicant must be pursuing a four-year degree in Business Administration. Due Date: March 9. This is an on-line application 1

2 BERTOLDI SCHOLARSHIP (John Bertoldi Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two OR four-year college or university. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Business or Accounting. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. BODELIN SCHOLARSHIP (George M. Bodelin Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission and enrolled at an accredited four-year college/university or other educational or technical institution of high reputation. BRYNELSON SCHOLARSHIP (Floyd A. & Margaret K. Brynelson Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission and enrolled at an accredited four-year college/university or other educational or technical institution of high reputation. BUNNIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Kathleen and Martin Bunnin Memorial Scholarship) There is no application process for this scholarship. It will be awarded to the Valedictorian of the graduating class. The recipient must be accepted for admission to an accredited four-year college/university, pursuing a four-year degree in their field of choice. CARLSON SCHOLARSHIP (Richard W. Carlson Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two or four-year college/university or other educational/technical institution of high reputation. Applicant may study in field of choice with initial consideration given to qualified applicants pursuing a degree in agriculture, forestry or other associated fields of study. ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY! CAROLEE DODGE FRANCIS YOUTH COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited college, university or vocational/technical school. Applicant must be a senior graduating from Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Forest Park, Norway or North Dickinson High School. Applicant must have demonstrated service to the community, with documentation being provided. All seniors who meet above eligibility requirements are invited to apply; GPA, class rank, financial status will not be a factor in the selection process. 2

3 CAVAIANI SCHOLARSHIP (The David M. & Henrietta M. Cavaiani Scholarship) Applicant must be a graduating senior of Iron Mountain High School. Applicant must be accepted into a two or four-year program in any medical related field of study. Applicant must demonstrate ongoing financial need. CAVIANI SCHOLARSHIP (Ron Caviani Scholarship) (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be a graduating senior from Iron Mountain, Kingsford or Norway High School and be enrolled in Jazz Band. Applicant must be entering a degree-granting program at a four-year postsecondary institution of higher learning and continue participation in a university/college sponsored performing ensemble. Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA or above. Applicant must have a recommendation from their band instructor. CERASOLI SCHOLARSHIP (Cerasoli Family Scholarship) Applicant must be a graduating male of Iron Mountain High School. Applicant must be acceptable for admission to Bay College (West Campus or Escanaba). Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester. CLEMO SCHOLARSHIP (Henry and Dorothy Maynard Clemo Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be continuing their study in a one, two, three OR four-year business curriculum. The applicant selected will be judged on the basis of preparation, achievement and general intent of the applicant. Due Date: March 9. This is an on-line application COCHRAN SCHOLARSHIP (William J. and Marilyn H. Cochran Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two or four-year college/university. COCHRAN SKILLED TRADES SCHOLARSHIP (Wm. J. and Marilyn H. Cochran) Applicant must be entering the trades field through an apprenticeship, certificate or associate degree program. Such fields of study include, but are not limited to: electrician, pipefitter, millwright, bricklayer, welding, etc. Funds could also be used for purchase of tools needed for the program or other equipment, deemed necessary. Applications from previous graduates may be considered if fund are available. Due Date: April 11. This is a paper application DANIELSON INSURANCE AGENCY SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be attending an accredited two or four-year college/university IN MICHIGAN, studying in field of choice. 3

4 DEBELAK SCHOLARSHIP (Richard J. Debelak) (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be entering a degree-granting program at a four-year post-secondary institution of higher learning. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing degrees in education, math and science-related fields; however, any student meeting the above requirements is eligible to apply and will be considered in the overall selection process. DELTA KAPPA GAMMA EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP Female applicant must be continuing her education in the field of teaching. DICKINSON AREA CHAMBER ALLIANCE SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be a graduating senior of Dickinson County. Must attend Bay West College within the next 12 months Due Date: By announced deadline. This is a paper application ERICKSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Charles Chuck Erickson) Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited one or two-year college, university, technical school or apprenticeship program. Priority will be given to the fields of Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Diesel Equipment Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair and Operation. Auto Mechanics could be considered. FLAMINIO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Peter E. Flaminio Jr. Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two OR four-year college/university OR Trade School. Priority will be given to applicants pursuing the field of Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Conservation Officer, Lawyer or other majors of study as approved by the Scholarship Board of Trustees. FLANAGAN SCHOLARSHIP (Hortense Flanagan Memorial Scholarship) FLEURY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP (Clem and Mildred Fleury Scholarship) Applicant may start out at a community college with the intent of earning a 4-yr. degree. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. Applicant must have taken a MINIMUM of one year of Accounting during their high school career. This is a paper application GANGA SCHOLARSHIP ( Rudy Ganga Scholarship) Applicant must be pursuing a four-year degree in this priority: #1 Engineering, #2 Education or #3 Nursing. Applicant may complete first two years at a community college, if applicant s intention is to complete a four year program of study. Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Due date: April 11. Applicant must be a graduating senior from Iron Mountain, Kingsford, North Dickinson or Norway high school. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be of good moral character. Preference will be given to applicants planning to attend Bay College (West) campus. GORDON SCHOLARSHIP (Bette (Orella) and Lynn Gordon Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two OR four-year college/university. Applicant must have averaged a 3.25 GPA through their high school career. Applicant must participate in community service/volunteerism. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. 5

Gunville Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two or four-year college/university. Applicant must pursue a math-based field of study such as Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Math Education. Due Date: March 9. This is an on-line application HAGERUP SCHOLARSHIP (Millie Hagerup Nursing) (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college/university. This is a paper application HAMMEL-DELANGIS SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited college/university, with the intent to earn a four-year degree. This is an on-line application HARDING SCHOLARSHIP (Duaine Harding Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited certificate or associate degree-granting program. Applicant may study in the field of their choice. HARRY SCHOLARSHIP (Kathleen Harry Memorial Scholarship) when available Applicant must be pursuing a degree either in Music OR Education. Due Date: April 11. This is an on-line application HOFER SCHOLARSHIP (Caroline Hofer Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be attending an accredited public two or four-year college/university in Michigan, at least for freshman year. Initial preference will be given to qualified applicants pursuing a degree in Education; however other fields of study may be given consideration as approved by the Scholarship Bd. of Trustees. 6

7 HOYLE SCHOLARSHIP (Albert C. and Violet Hoyle Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to Michigan Technological University. Applicant must be pursuing a four-year engineering program. Due Date: April 11. This is an on-line application IRON MOUNTAIN-KINGSFORD CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two, four-year college/university OR technical school. Applicant may study in field of their choice. IRON MOUNTAIN PTO SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two, four-year college/university OR technical school. Applicant may study in field of their choice. Applicant must have completed their ELEMENTARY education in the Iron Mountain School District. IZZO-MARIUCCI (Tom Izzo & Steve Mariucci Student-Athlete Scholarship) Applicant may study in the career field of their choice. Applicant must aspire to be in a lettered athletic sport, OR club sport at the college of university of their choice. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, qualities of good sportsmanship and high moral character. Applicant must have participated in multi high school sports. Applicant must have earned a MINIMUM of one (1) Varsity Letter during their senior year. Applicant must have maintained a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher through seven semesters. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP (Dr. William G. and Kathleen L. Jackson Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited college, university or other educational or technical institution of high reputation. JAFOLLA SCHOLARSHIP (Guido and Cecilia Jafolla Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited college or university. Applicant must be pursuing a 4-year degree in career field of their choice. 7

8 JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP (Magee Johnson Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two or four-year college/university. Applicant must be pursuing The Arts, which include fine arts, performing arts, dance, film studies, theatre, music, art or music education and other related majors approved by the Scholarship Bd. of Trustees. Applicant must have averaged a 2.5 GPA through their high school career. JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP (Georgina Mitchell Johnson Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited four-year college/university, with priority being given to students who are accepted and enrolled at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. KEY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (Kiwanis Club of IM-K Scholarship) Applicant must be a current member, in good standing, of the IMHS Key Club for at least 2 years. Applicant must demonstrate a GPA of 2.5 or above Applicant must be attending college as a full-time student. Those attending Bay College will have preference, but it s not a requirement. This is a paper application KLUNGNESS 50 SCHOLARSHIP (Verle and James Klungness Scholarship-Albion College) Applicant must be accepted for admission and enrolled at Albion College. Award is based on academic achievement. Applications for the Klungness Scholarship may be ed to the students, with the application due date to be announced by Albion College. KLUNGNESS SCHOLARSHIP (James A. Klungness Scholarship MTU) Applicant must be accepted for enrollment at Michigan Technological University in a baccalaureate degree program. Applicant must possess an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher. Due Date: By announced due date. This is a paper application LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (Iron Mountain Lions Club Scholarship) Applicant must be a graduating senior of IMHS. Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited post-secondary school. Community service will be taken into consideration. LIU SPIRTAS NIAGARA WORLDWIDE SCHOLARSHIP (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be graduating senior of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Norway, N. Dickinson, Niagara, Florence or Pembine/Beecher/Dunbar high schools. Applicant must have averaged a 3.0 GPA Applicant must be entering a degree-granting program at a two or four year college/university entering into an area of study related to business or industry. 8

9 LUSARDI SCHOLARSHIP (Donna L. Manko-Lusardi Scholarship) Applicant must be pursuing a career in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or X-Ray Technician. Applicant must be a graduating senior of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Norway, Niagara, North Dickinson or Florence High Schools. Due Date: By announced due date. This is a paper application MACDONALD SCHOLARSHIP (George R. MacDonald & Doris Engblom MacDonald Scholarship) Applicant must express a strong desire to pursue a four-year degree in the Social Science field. MILLER SCHOLARSHIP (Dr. Alfred E. Miller Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be graduating with a high GPA. Applicant must be accepted and enrolled at the University of Michigan. M.J. ELECTRIC SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two OR four-year college/university pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction-related majors, Business, Information Technology (IT) or similar fields of study as approved by the Scholarship Board of Trustees. NEWBERG SCHOLARSHIP (Gust K. Newberg Construction Co) (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be a graduating senior from IMHS, KHS, Norway HS or North Dickinson HS. Applicant must be pursuing engineering, architecture or a related construction profession. Applicant must have maintained a minimum of a 2.0 GPA through (7) seven semesters of high school. Due Date: March 1. This is a paper application NORTH LAND WOMEN FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be a graduating senior (female). PALLUCONI SCHOLARSHIP (Edward Palluconi Memorial) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two or four-year college/university. Applicant must be actively involved in at least one extra-curricular school activity. PERINE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Dorothy Perine Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be pursuing a four-year degree in an English or Education curriculum. The applicant selected will be judged on the basis of preparation, achievement and general intent of the applicant. Due Date: April 11. Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited college/university, pursuing a two OR four year degree in the field of health care. Applicant must have averaged a 3.0 GPA or above through their high school career. Due Date: April 19. This is an on-line application PETERSON EAGLE SCOUT SCHOLARSHIP (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be graduating seniors of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, N. Dickinson, Florence or Niagara high schools. Applicant must have attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scout Program. Applicant must have averaged a 3.0 GPA or above. Applicant must be entering a degree-granting program at a two or four-year post-secondary institution of higher learning. 10

11 PETROFF SCHOLARSHIP (James Petroff Memorial) (provided by the Community Fd.) Applicant must be a graduating senior of IMHS. Applicant must be pursuing a four-year degree fields of study related to public service. Applicant must have averaged a 2.5 GPA or above through their high school career. Applicant must have demonstrated service to school and/or the community. POZZA SCHOLARSHIP (Jack Pozza Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission to the University of Michigan, Michigan State or Central Michigan University. Applicant must have averaged a 3.5 GPA through their high school career. Applicant may study in the field of their choice. PUCCI SCHOLARSHIP (Marino and Mary Pucci Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited two, three or four-year college/university. Applicant must have a sincere desire to continue their education in the Health Care field, with priority given in this order: 1. Applicant entering specifically nursing; 2. Applicant entering a field of health care most closely related to nursing as judged by the Board of Trustees; 3. Applicant entering a Health Care field. Due Date: April 19. This is an on-line application RAFFIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Robert A. Raffin Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited one, or two-year college/university, technical school or apprenticeship program. Applicant must be studying in a curriculum leading to a career field such as Auto Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Repair, Millwright or similar mechanical occupation. RAPAICH FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be pursuing a course of study in the healthcare field in rehabilitation occupations such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, etc., Pre-med. or Biological Sciences, excluding nursing. Applicant must be acceptable for admission and enrolled in a four-year college/university of their choice. Due Date: April 19. This is an on-line application RIGONI SCHOLARSHIP (Avis and Joe Rigoni Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted and enrolled at Northern Michigan University, with priority being given in the following order: 1. Applicant pursuing a degree in any field of Education. 2. Applicant pursuing a field of study most closely associated with the field of education. Due Date: April 11. 12 RIZZARDI VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP (Joseph and Elaine Rizzardi) Initial consideration to applicants pursuing a Certificate program, Associate Degree or Apprenticeship in the trade fields such as: electrician, pipefitter, welding, computer/medical technician, millwright, bricklayer, auto mechanic/auto technician, etc., at an accredited vocational/technical school or community college. NOTE: funds can also be used for tools or other required equipment. ROBBINS SCHOLARSHIP (Elsie Evelyn Trestrial Robbins Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be a graduating female senior of IMHS. Applicant must be accepted and enrolled at Northern Michigan University. Applicant must be pursuing a four-year degree in her field of choice. Applicant must have maintained a 2.5 GPA through seven semesters. ROBBINS SCHOLARSHIP (Putnam W. Robbins Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to Michigan State University, pursuing a four-year degree with priority to: 1. Forestry, Fisheries and Wildlife or Environmental Studies. 2. Any four-year degree in a science-related field of study. ROLANDO SCHOLARSHIP (John Rolando NMU Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted and enrolled at Northern Michigan University. Applicant may be enrolled in a two OR four-year program, in field of choice. Applicant must be accepted for admission to NMU by March 1. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, which will be determined by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the required due date. Due Date: March 1. SPENCER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Robert D. Spencer Memorial Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited two, four-year college/university OR other educational or technical institute of high reputation. Applicant may study in career field of choice. SPIGARELLI SCHOLARSHIP (Gary and Marilyn Hooper Spigarelli Scholarship) Applicant must be accepted for admission to an accredited two OR four-year college/university in the State of Michigan. Applicant must be pursuing a degree as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Due Date: April 19. This is an on-line application SPIGARELLI SCHOLARSHIP (Noah and Anne Ruffatto Spigarelli Scholarship) Applicant must be acceptable for admission to an accredited four-year college/university OR other educational or technical institution of high reputation. 14 VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (Dorothy Occhietti Dickinson County Voc Scholarship) Applicant must be pursuing a one year certificate or two year technical degree only. How to Apply: Students may secure application forms from the Scholarship Administrator in the high school guidance center or the Dickinson- Iron Technical Education Center. Completed applications must be returned by the announced deadline. This is a paper application WAR VETERANS SCHOLARSHIP (Dickinson County War Veteran s Scholarship) Applicant must be a Dickinson County high school graduate. Applicant must be a son/daughter of a veteran who served in the USA Armed Services. Applicant must come from a family of modest means. Applicant may study in the field of their choice, at a college/university approved by the Board of Trustees. Due Date: By announced due date. This is a paper application WAVES MEMORIAL SWIM SCHOLARSHIP (provided through the Community Fd.) Applicant must be a graduating senior of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Norway, N. Dickinson, Niagara, Florence, Forest Park or Pembine high school. Application must have participated in swimming on a local high school team and/or participated on the local YMCA team for at least two swim seasons. Applicant must have averaged a 2.5 GPA or above.applicant must be have a sincere desire to continue his/her education in an accredited vocational/technical school or college/university. 14
