3 Introduction What is ISP? + at Seoul Campus + Two or Four Week Long Summer Program + Student who have a general interest in Korea + Learn about Korea and Experience its culture + Build International Networks + Very Reasonable Price and Programs to Spend Summer Holidays in Korea The International Summer Program (ISP) at Konkuk University is a two-to-four-week long summer program that provides a great opportunity for international students wishing to learn about and experience its culture. The programs is suitable for all students but is particularly valuable for those having a general interest in Korea. Students can choose between the two 2-week sessions or participate in both sessions. During their summer vacation, students can now gain an understanding of this vibrant country that is considered as a global economic and cultural powerhouse and a gateway to the world.

9 Afterschool Cultural Programs Students can enjoy cultural workshops and sight visiting to enhance and deepen the knowledge about Korea and its culture 1. Korean Folk Arts & Craft Workshop(Souvenir Class), Han-Bok (Traditional Costume) Experience, Tae Kwon Do Class, K-Pop Class 2. Seoul City Tour (Art Galleries & Museum, Emperor s palace) 3. Samsung IT Plaza, Dondaemun Design Plaza, etc.

10 Weekend Program With ISVs Han-River Picnic (Chicken & Drinks, Bike-Ride) Jjimjil-Bang(Korean-style Hot Spa & Sauna) These activities and group outings are arranged by Konkuk ISVs. The programs usually consist of small amount of participating fare(tickets, meals, etc) around US $ Some of excursions are Korean Baseball Game Seoul Night-Town Tour Local Entertainment & Restaurants Myungdong & Insadong Market

11 Course List & Credit (and its Transfer) Course List Academic Course (09:00~12:00) Language Course (13:30~15:30) Choose one of 3 Introduction to Korean History Korean Culture and Society IT Business and Startup in Korea Korean Language (For Beginners and Intermediates) * Academic course details are subject to change and you can find its syllabi on the website. 2 Credits (4 ECTS) 1 Credits (2 ECTS) Credits & Transfer Each credit is equivalent to 16 hours of classes. Students will gain 1 to 3 credits after successful completion of the ISP for each session. Most universities accept our grade; however, students are advised to confirm with their institutions prior to application and registration to the ISP. Students registering both sessions (for 4 weeks) can take the different morning courses for each session. (Ex. Choose History class for session 1 and choose IT class for session 2.)

12 KU:L House is on-campus residence halls opened in Students can use Gym, Yoga or K-Pop dance classes with a small fee of $10. Accommodation Each air-conditioned room with a private bathroom is completely furnished with two single beds, including bed sheets and pillows as well as desks, chairs, lamps and wardrobes. Please consult with the study abroad advisor at your home institution to find out if you can apply as an exchange student. Partner University Student Scholarship Students from partner universities (i.e. non-exchange students) will be eligible to receive 30%(+) reduction from the program fee (KRW 800,000/2 Week, KRW 1,000,000/4 Week). All applicants must submit the letter and other documents required by Korean consulate or embassy in his/her country in order to obtain a C-3 VISA.
