2 Ephrata Sportsman Association Washington State PTA Leadership 1000 & Governors' Scholarship Applications Open! Just a quick reminder that the online applications for both the Leadership 1000 and Washington State Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth are now open. Please encourage your students to apply as soon as possible! The online application can be completed on our website, and must be submitted by Monday, March 9, The Leadership 1000 Scholarship is $2,500 to $5,000 per year, for up to four years, for students who need assistance attending an eligible four-year college or university in Washington state. Please take a moment to review the eligibility criteria on our website. The Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth provides $2,000 to $4,000 per year, for up to five years, for youth who have or will emancipate from foster care in Washington state to attend college. Up to three scholarships will be awarded each year. Recipients will be students who are attending, or plan to attend, a Catholic college or university and demonstrate a commitment to serve the church through past activities and future plans and goals. Current recipients will be eligible to reapply and will

The completed application form and all accompanying documentation must be mailed directly to the Central Washington Catholic Foundation and post-marked no later than April 1st of the year the scholarship is awarded. The Mary Ellen Chott-Mahre Scholarship This scholarship is presently expected to award $1,000 to $6,000 annually. Last year their applicant pool was very low, so they are looking to at least double it.
