For example, online applications are accepted January 1, 2013 May 31, 2013 for the school year. Applications may be submitted after May 31, but will only be considered if additional funds become available at a later date. Undergraduates Attending Tribal Colleges Native American/Alaska Native undergraduate students attending tribal colleges and universities are eligible to apply for both the American Indian College Fund TCU Scholarship Program and the American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship Program.

2 Graduate Students-All Colleges Students pursuing a graduate degree at any eligible college (tribal or non-tribal) may apply for The American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarships. These scholarships are funded through our partnerships with corporate and private donors. These scholarships are administered by the American Indian College Fund and are generally based upon merit or demonstrated financial need. Grossmont Community College Scholarship Reimbursement of College fees at Grossmont Community College only Enrolled, letter from Tribe, BIA. Birth Certificate stating American Indian, Letter from IHC Association on American Indian Affairs All applicants must be enrolled in a Federally Recognized Tribe No specific blood degree required. All regular scholarships are for graduate and undergraduate students from federally recognized tribes except for the Allogan Slagle Memorial Scholarship and David Risling Emergency Aid Scholarship. Some of these scholarships are curriculum specific. Students from federally recognized tribes are not eligible for the Allogan Slagle Memorial Scholarship. Applicants enrolled in non-recognized tribes are eligible for the Allogan Slagle Scholarship only. This scholarship is open to graduate and undergraduate students in any curriculum. American Indian Graduate Center- Undergraduate and Graduate Deadline July 12 for the academic year 1. All applicants must be able to demonstrate personal enrollment in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, or possess one fourth (1/4) degree verifiable federally recognized American Indian blood through the submission of a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC) (will be due July 13, 2014). 5 American Indian Heritage Foundation/Outstanding Indian This annually awarded scholarship is for outstanding Native American youth interested in postsecondary education. The amount awarded varies, but the average is $1000. Average award: $1,000. Arrow Inc. Scholarship Awarded to federally recognized tribal members. Must be an undergraduate in general education. Amount: $100. 6 Other Minority Scholarships Ed Bradley Scholarship For any minority full-time college student whose career objective is electronic journalism. Brown Scholarship Fund Open to all minority students who demonstrate financial need and are recommended by a member of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs. Contact: NACWC, Scholarship Committee 5808 Sixteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC Ron Brown Scholarships The award: 10,000 for 10 to 20 students. It's renewable. Academic merit, leadership, community service, all fields. The deadline is usually in January. This is one of most prestigious scholarships and it's very, very competitive. Details at site. Lena Chang Scholarship Awards The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation awards two annual scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each to ethnic minority students currently enrolled in college. Applicants must be majoring in one or more of the following: physics, computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics, imagery science, cartography, Japanese, Russian, or Chinese. Recipients will gain a summer job at the Central Intelligence Agency. Full tuition, up to $10,000, is paid and summer job pays competitive rates. 7 FOSTER YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS Aaron Ruben Scholarship Fund The scholarship is administered by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Deadline: June 3 or 4 awards between $1,500-$3,000 Eligibility: 1) High school senior, 2) Enrolling in vocational school, college or university, 3) A current or former dependent of LA County Court Contact: Ms. Sue Thompson at Celebration Participants become eligible for a number of scholarships by attending the Celebration graduation event sponsored by LA County DCFS and UFC.
