6 Best Paper Award by M.Tech.(CSE) studeny Ms. Vidya Gupta, Project Student, M.Tech (CSE) and Prof. Dr. Urmila Shrawankar, Computer Sci and Engg. Department, GHRCE, Nagpur have received the best paper award for the paper titled Minimizing Cache Related Preemption Delay in Preemptive Scheduler, at IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research (ICCIC) organised by IEEE SIPCICOM at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. Paper focuses on the techniques used to minimize cache related preemption delay in real time system. In order to avoid overlapping of useful cache blocks (UCBs) jobs were manipulated using simulated annealing algorithm. They are thankful to Director of GHRCE and HoD (CSE) for their support and encouragement.

7 Departmental Forum Activity: Programming Contest Department of Computer Science & Engineering of G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering conducted one day Programming Contest on 7th February Total 25 students participated in the competition. Prof. S.P.Karmore was Event in charge for the contest and Prof.P.Jain was co coordinator. Student s coordinator for Level- I was Ankit Singh for Level- II was Pradnil Rajankar and for Level -III was Amrit Kaur.

8 The Programming contest was divided into three sections namely Level-1: Code Debugging, Level -II Website Development and Level III Application Testing. Level I contest was organized for Fourth semester students, Level II contest was organized for Sixth semester students and Eighth semester students participated for Level -III contest which was for Application testing. Paper Presentation at Singapore The students who won the contest were Mr. Animekh Misra and runner up is Ms. Diksha Gunnewar. Wishing them a happy coding and congratulations for their achievements. Manikya Gupta, a student of Final Year, pursuing Masters in Engineering in Embedded Systems & Computing of G H Raisoni College of Engineering (An Autonomous Institute), Nagpur is invited to present the paper entitled An Overview of Autonomous Marine Robotic Vehicle at The 2015 International Conference on Robotics, Mechanics and Mechatronics (ICRMM 2015) to be held during March 21-23, 2015 at Singapore.

9 The ICRMM 2015 conference received submissions from 18 different countries, which were reviewed by international experts, and about 50 papers have been selected for presentation and publication at Singapore. Manikya also presented the paper recently at IEEE Sponsored 9 th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Control (ISCO 2015) on 9 th and 10 th January, 2015 organised by Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore. Manikya attributes the success to his guide Prof. Apeksha Sakhare, Dr. Latesh Malik, Head Dept. Of CSE and Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director of GHRCE. The paper is duly registered by IEEE, USA and is also included in IEEE Xplore. Prof. A. R. Raut and Prof. S. S. Dongre from Computer Science & Engineering Department attended Knowledge++ workshop during Feb 2015 at L & T, Mumbai. Knowledge++ workshop was organized by L & T, during Feb 20-21, 2015 at L & T, Mahape, Navi Mumbai. Prof. Archana R. Raut and Prof. Snehalata Dongre from Computer Science & Engineering Department attended the workshop. This workshop focuses L&T InfoTech overview & Growth & Success stories, IT Industry overview: Past and future and Latest technology overview: What, How and case-studies of technologies, Mobility, etc. In addition, some behavioral session based on Team Work, EQ, Communication and Critical Thinking was also conducted in the workshop. 10 The inaugural function was followed by five days STTP workshop for the faculty members, Researchers and Industry persons, wherein 29 faculties participated. The workshop was conducted by various expert faculties of VNIT, GHRCE, YCCE and outside speakers from Industry. The event was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, wherein Prof. P. N. Borkar, STTP Coordinator, Dr. L. G. Malik, HOD CSE, and other faculty members put their efforts to make it success. Dr. S.S. Dorle, Training co-ordinator helps to organize the STTP. The STTP was concluded on 21 st Feb 2015 with certificate & STTP material distribution. Coordinator would like to thank Dr. P. R. Bajaj, Director GHRCE, for support and motivation.
