Community Service Chairs Session 1 & repeat session 2 Learn about Rotary and District focus projects and programs that benefit our neighbors. Learn facts and programs for peaceful communities. Helping with humanitarian projects is a vital part of Rotary programs. Joe Vasquez. District Trip - Session 1 - Projects beyond our borders in exotic foreign countries will be presented for Rotary Clubs to partner with other clubs. Learn about these special opportunities including the annual District Humanitarian Trip this year to Puerto Rico. John Ramey End Polio Now Session 3 - Learn how everyone can help eradicate Polio from the world. We re just so close to victory Only 166 cases in the world YTD for Shirley Giltzow Foundation Chairs Session 1 & repeat session 2 Review the many programs and contribution opportunities of The Rotary Foundation. Rick Mendoza PDG and Foundation Team. Foundation & Future Vision Session 3 Learn how the Rotary Foundation is going to change due to the increase in the number of requests for project funding. The changes will be implemented July 1, For Senior District Leadership Fundraising How to Make Oodles of Money Session 3 Meet the challenge of raising monies for projects with suggestions and procedures. Helene Pizzini International Service Chairs Session 1 & repeat session 2 Learn about the programs of service across borders for the coming year from Senior Assistant Governor International Service DJ Sun Major Events What s Happening Session ` Plan the club calendar to include the District activities. Learn about the events (Paul Harris Celebration, District Conference and District Picnic) and how the club can be involved with these activities. 8 Membership Get-em and Keep-em - Session 2 and repeat session 3 Identify four types of potential members and how to communicate with each type. Determine what to say when asked "What is Rotary?" Learn how to make non-members members. SAG Dean Reuter New Generations Session 1 & repeat session 2 RI Youth Programs, Rotaract and Interact, coordinating together for leadership, friendship and projects in District 5280 will be discussed. Rotaract, Interact and RYLA are active youth programs in District In addition to club led activities the district brings the clubs together for projects and events. SAG Jamee Sul Presidents Session 1 Governor Brad Robinson will discuss plans and goals for the coming year. This program is essential to start the year with what is needed. Presidents Session 1 Governor Elect Lew Bertrand will meet with the Presidents. Meet classmates and begin organizing for a successful year. Public Relations, Communications & Social Networking Session 1 & repeat session 2 & session 3 The role and procedures for communicating with the club and the community will be presented by Senior Assistant Governor Marc Leeka Jonathan Keisner will discuss Social Networking and in particular the use of Facebook. Strategic Planning Session 2 & repeat session 3 To have a successful club a strategic plan is necessary. Every successful business has a strategic plan and so should every Rotary club. Scot Clifford PDG Secretary Session 1 A vital member for a smoothly running Rotary Club the Secretary has many procedures and dates that are essential for the Rotary Club. District Administrator Tori Hettinger and Susan Berk Treasurer Session 1 The procedures and regulations for financial accountability in Rotary will be discussed by District Treasurer Andrea Clark. Vocational Service: Ethics and Literacy Session 1 & repeat session 2 Vocational Service is one of the four parts of the Object of Rotary (Avenue of Services). This session will encourage Clubs to undertake projects related to career planning, vocational training and promote high ethnical standards in the community and workplace. We will also discuss the District Vocational Service activities, including the Vocational Services Awards. SAG Pat Bennett. Youth Exchange Session 3 - In this session you'll learn about the various youth exchange programs in our district. We'll talk about how your club can sponsor and host students for long and short term exchanges. Current exchange students will also be there to talk about their experiences.
