1 Annual Goals for for Advancement Goal 1: Fully Engaging Constituency Groups Explore with each UNA Board of Trustee and Foundation Board members the opportunities available in the areas of financially supporting UNA. Seek further funding for the Professor Funding Scholarships in Retirement (PRFSR) program, now known as the Isbell Scholars, to reach $2,000,000. Implement Campaign Readiness Study. Board of Trustee members will continually be engaged in a campaign strategy. Actions developed fundraising literature for endowed scholarships, academic centre and student commons, science and technology building, 1830 fund, and complete new economic impact study. Goal 2: Liaisons Between Advancement and College of Deans Meet quarterly with College Deans. Conduct College Fundraising Program Each Fundraiser continues to meet quarterly with the assigned

2 Dean/Liaison to identify programs within each College that need to be funded and to identify prospective donors. Goal 3: Alumni Relations/Alumni Chapter Development Continue to increase visibility and involvement of the Alumni Board of Directors through new club development and events. Director of Alumni Relations The Office of Alumni Relations is the support and operations arm of the UNA Alumni Association. Together, we encourage alumni everywhere to continue a relationship with their University. By increasing clubs and local area events, we are cultivating donors and identifying time, talent and treasure. By recognition of UNA Alums through publications (UNA Magazine and print newspapers), websites and electronic media the office of Alumni Relations and the UNA Alumni Association shares the successes and the pride of accomplishment of UNA graduates. Through this, we are more cognizant of their abilities and willingness to help recruit students, offer internships, job placement and philanthropic potential. Alumni Board meetings are scheduled monthly, and committee meetings (budget, membership, awards, club, spirit, scholarship, homecoming and adhoc committees) are scheduled as needed. The second Alumni Leadership Summit was held in March of The event included a panel of eight university directors, and Coach Bobby Wallace. The Alumni Office also provided opportunities for Coach Bobby Wallace to travel and speak to alumni groups. Goal 4: Fundraising Add 500 new donors. Work with Athletic Director and Director of Sportsman s club to increase fundraising for corporate sponsorships, and online giving options. Secure $3,000,000 in gifts and pledges for Division 1 transition. Implement fundraising plan capital projects.

3 Secure 20 new endowed scholarship. Increase total giving to $3,000,000. While giving at this time is slightly less than the past year at this time, the number of donors has increase from 2,206 to 2,315. At this time last year, the Foundation had received a single gift of $1 million. Therefore, the average gift amount has increased significantly during the year. For the academic year , the Foundation and University endowments awarded $977,068 for scholarships, professorships and programs. Based on a report of December 31, 2011, of the University and University of North Alabama Foundation endowments and due to a downturn in the market in the fourth quarter evaluation, only $756,063 will be awarded for The Advancement Office hosted and participated in several successful events throughout the year.
