1 TEXAS PUBLIC UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS (8/17/2017) ANGELO STATE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS ASU General Scholarships: Must complete a general scholarship application via RAMS account by April 1. Carr Scholarships: Awards range from $1,000 $15,000 per year Students test scores and GPAs are evaluated for eligibility, until funds run out. Students who are eligible for top-level Carr Distinguished Scholarship are invited to complete separate application. Carr Air Force ROTC Scholarships: Awarded to Angelo State students in the Air Force ROTC Program. Must score at least a 900 (R & M) SAT or a 20 ACT ASU s Blue and Gold Guarantee Covers tuition and fees that are not covered by other grants or scholarships (all sources) for students whose family income is $40,000 or less. Education, business, Athletic Training, kinesiology, Border & Homeland Security, Natural Resource Management, Nursing, Computer Science, Geoscience, Agriculture LAMAR UNIVERSITY Mirabeau Presidential Scholarship: Full-ride scholarship for students with SAT or 29+ ACT, academic excellence, leadership Students are invited to apply. January 1 deadline to submit all materials Engineering Excellence Scholarships: $4,000 per year, awarded to students ranking in the top 25%, SAT scores of (math & reading) and 600+ on math or an ACT composite of 25+, with 26+ on math Automatic Scholarships: Academic Excellence Scholarship - $16,000 for students in the top 25% with SAT or 25+ ACT Living Learning Community Scholarship Full residence hall scholarship (4 years, valued at $21,500) for students in the top 25%, with a SAT or a 21 ACT Students apply by completing separate Lamar scholarship application. AUSTIN STATE UNIVERSITY Academic Excellence Scholarship: $3,000/year scholarship for students in the top 10% or the top 25%, with SAT or 24 ACT SFA General Scholarships: Requires separate, online application, for students who have already applied for admissions February 1 Deadline Smith-Hutson Scholarship: Up to $68,000 scholarship for students with academic potential and financial need Jack Pass Summer Admissions Program: TEXAS A & M Students not admitted to SFA may apply to this program by posted spring deadline Involves taking 7 hours during second summer session, with a 2.0+ g.p.a. General Academic Scholarships: Students must complete scholarship application questions on Apply Texas, by December 1 Terry Scholarship applications are selected through scholarship questions on Apply Texas. Regents Scholarship: $5000/scholarship for students who are first-generation college students (neither parent completed a bachelor s degree) and who have an adjusted gross income of $40,000 Must complete FAFSA by priority deadline of March 15 (March 1 is better). Alternate Admissions Paths: Blinn Team, Aggie Gateway, Program for System Admissions, Engineering Academy Options (Blinn-Bryan, McAllen, Galveston) Aggie Assurance: Pledge to cover tuition for students whose adjusted gross family incomes are $60,000 or less Colleges: agriculture, architecture, business, Education and Human Development, engineering, geosciences, Biomedical Sciences, liberal arts & sciences, Rural Public Health

December Deadline Must write Essays B & C Assured Scholarships: President s Honor Scholarship: $32,000 awarded to students in the top 25% with SAT of or ACT of 32+ Texas State Achievement Scholarship: $16,000 awarded to students with SAT or 27+ ACT who are in the top 25% of the class Bobcat Promise: Pledge to cover tuition for students whose adjusted gross family incomes are $35,000 or less Colleges & Programs: Applied Arts (Criminal Justice, Social Work), Business, Education, Fine Arts (Sound Recording Technology), Health Professions (Nursing, Radiation Therapy, Respiratory Care), Liberal Arts, Science & Engineering TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY General Scholarships (Including Terry Foundation): Complete general scholarship application on Apply Texas application Freshman Presidential Scholarships: $16,000 for students with a SAT or 25 ACT who rank in the top 25% of class $20,000 for students with a SAT or 27+ ACT who rank in the top 10% of the class and are admitted to the university prior to April 15. $24,000 for students with a SAT or 30 ACT who rank in the top 10% of the class and are admitted by April 15 Texas Tech Transfer Acceleration Program: Alternative admissions program for students who were denied admissions to co-enroll at TTU & South Plains College & then to be automatically transferred to TTU after completion of the semester-long program Texas Tech Summer Gateway: Program for students who were initially denied admission to Texas Tech University to gain admittance by completing six hours of transferable coursework at an accredited community college, with a 2.5+ GPA, during the first summer session. Colleges: Agriculture, architecture, engineering, education, arts & sciences, business, Media & Communication, Visual & Performing Arts, Human Sciences TEXAS WOMAN S UNIVERSITY TWU Terry Foundation: Students must first apply for admissions and then access the online Terry application via their TWU STARS account; all materials due by January 10. FAFSA must be complete by February 15 Chancellor s Endowed Scholarship: Provides full tuition, fees, and book stipend for up to four years TWU Presidential Scholarship: Pays full tuition and fees for four years to students who are Valedictorian or Salutatorian of high school class TWU Honors Scholarship: $6,000 per year First-Time in College Scholarships: $1,200 - $3,000 per year, awarded based upon GPA, class rank, and SAT/ACT scores Unique Programs: Dental Hygiene, Fashion Design & Merchandising, Nutrition, Nursing, Medical Tech.
