1 , Korea University Global KU Study Abroad Scholarship For Exchange and Visiting Students Guidelines In celebration of its centennial in 2005, Korea University established Global KU Study Abroad Scholarship. Global KU Scholarship aims to support future global leaders around the world to study at Korea University. I. Global KU Study Abroad Scholarship types: * For New Exchange/Visiting Students - The type and amount of scholarship will be decided by Korea University Admission Scholarship: Starts from KRW 400,000 up to KRW 1,600,000 for the first semester. KU Travel Scholarship: Starts from KRW 300,000 up to KRW 1,500,000 for the first semester. * For Continuing Exchange/Visiting Students Merit Scholarship: Awarded on the basis of academic merit of the first semester at Korea University, KRW 1,200,000 for a second semester. Only applicable to exchange/visiting students who participate in one-year program. II. Conditions of Global KU Study Abroad Scholarship: 1. Admission and KU Travel Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit at the applicants home institutions. 2. The amount of the scholarship might vary depending on the applicants academic merit. 3. Faculty/ Institution/ National quotas may apply. 4. Students who extend the duration of their study at Korea University from one semester to two semesters are eligible to apply for Merit Scholarship at the time of approval on extension. III. Eligibility Undergraduate SEP & VSP applicants must: 1. Be enrolled in an acknowledged institution outside of Korea, in a country that is recognized by Korean government as of December 1, Have completed, or are about to complete at least one year of study at their home universities at the time of applying. 3. Have an overall weighted average of at least 75% at their home institutions. 4. Have obtained a successful admission for SEP or VSP at Korea University. 5. Be fluent in either English or Korean.
