2 Scholarships, Grades 9, 10 & 11 Katherine and Sam Abdallah Scholarship Established in memory of Sam Abdallah. This award goes to a current sophomore or junior, 3.2 or above GPA. Must have volunteer activities and financial need. Sam Alexander Scholarship Established in memory of Sam Alexander. This award goes to a current sophomore or junior, 2.5 or above GPA. Must have earned a letter in a varsity sport, must have financial need. Sister David Barry Scholarship Must be a current junior with a 3.5 GPA. Must exhibit outstanding writing skills and participate in class discussions. Must be on the Kettle and/or Cauldron staff and have earned an A in English for the 9 th and 10 th grade and the first semester of the 11 th grade. Basso Family Scholarship Established through the generosity of the Basso Family. Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior, involved in student council, sports program or student mentor, 2.0 GPA or above. Must have financial need and be able to show definite need. Calderon Family Scholarship Currently in Grade 9, 10, or 11. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must excel in math and science. Have volunteer activity in church or school. Have financial need. Preference given to students interested in engineering as a career. Cheryl Best Memorial Scholarship Current Freshman, Sophomore or Junior. 2.5 GPA. Wants to study business. Financial need. Cindi Biscaia Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Cindi Biscaia. Must be a current freshman from St. Luke School, 2.5 GPA or above and must have financial need. Seldon Brusa Memorial Scholarship Must be a current 9, 10, or 11 th grade student, minimum 3.0 GPA, play a sport at SM. Must be an exceptional leader on their team(s).

3 Edward and Lillian Burke Scholarship Established in memory of Edward and Lillian Burke. Must have a 2.75 GPA or above, must be active in St. Francis de Sales Club, Campus Ministry or parish youth group, must have brother or sister in Catholic schools, must have financial need. Cause of Our Joy Scholarship Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior, have a GPA of 3.0 or above, must attend Sunday Mass on a regular basis. Class of 1978 Scholarship Established by various members of the Class of Must have a 3.0 or above GPA, involvement in school activities, must show financial need. Larry Conti Memorial Scholarship Established in loving memory of Larry Conti. Current sophomore or junior with minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and has played softball or baseball at St. Mary's. Culligan Family Scholarship Must be a current 9 th, 10 th, or 11 th grade student. Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, be involved in some organized extra-curricular activity, club, sport, etc at SMHS. Also must be involved in some faith-based youth group, ministry, etc, outside of SMHS (i.e. any church or community youth group, ministry, service club, etc. not necessarily Catholic.). John Demichelis Memorial Scholarship Established in loving memory of John A. Demichelis. Must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must exhibit community involvement, preference given to a south county resident such as Ripon, Escalon, Tracy or Manteca. Dominican Scholarship Established by the Dominican Sisters from the Enaid Jones Estate. Students must have great financial need, approximate income of no more than $25, a year. William Dougherty Memorial Scholarship Must have 3.0 or above GPA, actively involved in the Catholic Church, parish or school ministry. Must have financial need. Rhonda Eagal Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Rhonda Eagal. Student should be a varsity athlete, 3.0 or above GPA, some financial need. Jeff Gibson Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Jeff Gibson, class of Must be a current junior, 2.3 or above GPA, must participate in school activities.

4 Father Clark Kelley, O.S.F.S Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Fr. Clark Kelley, a beloved SM teacher and spiritual advisor. Must be a current 9 th, 10 th or 11 th grade sudent. Must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A., be active in the St. Francis de Sales club, and must show financial need. David Khoury Memorial Scholarship Established in honor of David Khoury, former St. Mary's High School biology teacher. Must be a current junior, outstanding biology student. Kozina Family Scholarship Established by the Kozina Family. Must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must be involved in extracurricular activities including community service. Leadership Summit Scholarship Must be a current junior, must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must be involved in some capacity of leadership. Julie Linde Memorial Golf Scholarship Established in memory Julie Linde. Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must be a member of the Girl s Golf Team, must have financial need. John Little Scholarship Established in honor of John Little, St. Mary's High School chemistry teacher. Must be a current junior and outstanding chemistry student. Lozano Family Scholarship Established by the Lozano Family. Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must participate in school activities, must have financial need. Candace Mondo Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Candace Mondo. Must be a current 9 th, 10 th or 11 th grade student, minimum 3.0 GPA. Student has a parent with an illness and family has financial need. Anthony and Rita Morelli Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Anthony and Rita Morelli. Must be a current junior athlete, must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must have financial need. Dave and Jean Morotti Scholarship Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must be actively involved in a community service project and can document such project. Oblates of St. Francis de Sales Scholarship Established by the Fathers and Brothers of the St. Mary's High School staff. Must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must be active in both school and parish community.

5 O Brien Family Scholarship for Fine Arts Established in honor of Voteau and Joseph O Brien. Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must be involved in the Fine Arts Program, must have financial need. Max Paulsen Memorial Scholarship Must be current 10 th or 11 th grade student. Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, be involved in community service, family makes a sacrifice for student to attend SM.. Peirano Family Scholarship Established in memory of Bernice Peirano. Must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must have financial need. Pepsi Bottling Group Scholarship Must have a 3.0 or above GPA. Must be involved in a St. Mary's High School service club. President s Scholarship Established to recognize a student who exemplifies the philosophy and mission statement of St. Mary's High School. Must have a 3.5 or above GPA, must be a contributing member of the St. Mary s student body. Frank and Lenore Raspo Scholarship Established in memory of Frank and Lenore Raspo. Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must be a current junior, must be involved in student mentor or CSF, must have financial need. Peter Robustelli Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of Peter Robustelli. Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must have a parent who is deceased. Corletta Rogers Scholarship Established in honor of Corletta Rogers. Must be a current 9 th, 10 th or 11 th grade sudent. Must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A., be involved in the plays at SM, and must show financial need. Wiliam H. Sanders III Scholarship Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior. Must be a St. Mary's football player or a female or male St. Mary's basketball player. Nat and Delia Scatena Memorial Scholarship Must be a current sophomore or junior Must currently be on the Forensics team Must have a GPA between St. Mary s Faculty Scholarship Must have a 2.5 or above GPA, must have characteristics that represent the type of student outlined in the philosophy and mission statement of St. Mary s High School. Must have financial need.

6 St. Mary s Foundation Scholarship Established by the Golf Classic Committee. Must have a 2.75 or above GPA, must be a member of Student Council, Boy s Senate, Girl s Cabinet or the athletic program, must display financial need. St. Mary s High School, Class of 1956 Memorial Scholarship Established in memory of the deceased members of the Class of Must be a current junior and have financial need. St. Mary s Sports Association Scholarship Must be a current member of a St. Mary s athletic team, 2.5 or above GPA, must actively be involved in assisting in a youth group sports activity. Sister Colette Standart Scholarship Established in memory of Sister Colette Standart. Must have at least a 2.0 GPA, great financial need, income should be below $30,000.00, active in church, parish or Campus Ministry activities. Kenneth C. Stone Scholarship. Established in memory of Kenneth C. Stone. Must be a current junior, 3.5 or above GPA, involved in church activities, preference given to a qualified non-catholic student. Alfred and Jeanne Sturla Memorial Scholarship Current 9 th, 10 th, 11 th grade student; 2.5 GPA or above; Must have attended Stockton Unified School District; Strong school spirit. Trezza Family Scholarship Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior Must have a 3.0 GPA or above. Must have financial need. George Williams Family Scholarship Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior. Financial Need. Must have earned a 3.0 G.P.A. or above. The following scholarships have their own application and require an essay and/or a letter(s) of recommendation. These scholarships and their descriptions are available on the table outside of the scholarship office, Rm. 227, Lagoiro. They are due to the scholarship office no later than February 1 st. 1.
