3 Most significant honors or achievements in business and professional activities: He did his graduation & Post-graduation from prestigious Seth G S Medical college & KEM Hospital. He is a Fellow of Association of Surgeons of India. He has been awarded Fellowship by International College of Surgeons. Founder Member of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. Member of Association of Medical Consultants and Indian Medical Association- Mumbai West Suburban branch. At present runs Pandya Hospital which is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited hospital - one of the few such accredited private hospitals in Mumbai. He has presented papers and chaired sessions at number of Medical conferences. He is serving the community through his profession by carrying out numerous free charitable medical services. He runs a free OPD every week in his private clinic. He has been involved in organizing and serving professionally in a number of Medical camps in Rural areas. Known in his profession & community for his ethical practice, he has been recognised & awarded by local organizations for his professional services. During the Golden Jubille year celebrations of Borivli Medical Brotherhood(local medical association with a membership of over 1000) in 2013,he has been conferred the BMB OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD for his professional medical excellence and service to the local community, one of the only 12 doctors so honored by the association(bmb). Most significant honors or achievements in civic and public service activities: He was a member of the Board of Management of Jan Shikshan Sansthan,Dharavi (JSS) and has served as Vice-Chair from JSS is a Government of India sponsored Vocational Training Institute, which carries out vocational training courses for underprivileged youth with special emphasis on training illiterates & women. It has branches all over India. As Vice-Chair of JSS he was involved in day-to day running and financial oversight of JSS from He is on Advisory Board of Borivali Gujarati Seva Mandal which is running a charitable diagnostic center cum eye hospital in Borivali. He is Advisor to Sai Leela Trust (which is managing SaiBaba temple in Borivali) for their Medical Projects and activities. An active Member of Borivali Education Society which is running number of schools & colleges in Borivali. He has started Educational Scholarships for needy students by a corpus donation to Shree Audichya Tolak Mandal (community based organisation in Mumbai). Since last 10 years jointly with Borivli Medical Brotherhood he is organizing annually 'Dr S S Pandya Memorial Oration' in Borivli. These are Public Educational Lectures to spread awareness about health issues in the community.
