1 Korey Brent Moses McEldowney Academic Scholarship - was created to honor the memory of Dick McEldowney a successful Altoona businessman, to support our youth in their dreams of higher education. Charles R. Butch Metzgar Scholarship presented in his honor to s senior who is planning on attending a post-secondary trade to technical school and who plans to remain in the Claysburg area after completing their degree to pursue a career as an entrepreneur, promoting business in the Claysburg area and creating employment opportunities for other Claysburg residents. Mark S. Leslie Athletic Scholarship awarded to a male and female athlete who have exemplified achievement in the classroom as well as showing strong leadership skills and athletic success. Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center - Most Improved Welder Ali Marie Feathers McEldowney Academic Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Dick McEldowney a successful Altoona businessman, to support our youth in their dreams of higher education. T. L. Dively Math Award given in memory of Taylor L. Dively for outstanding academic achievement in the pursuit of mathematics at Claysburg-Kimmel High School. First Commonwealth Bank Award given to the valedictorian of the class. Friend s of the Claysburg Community presented to a senior who volunteers in the community and displays an interest in the arts. The Appvion/Charles S. Boyd Scholarship awarded to children of Appvion employees to encourage them to prepare themselves for positions of leadership and service. Rotary Scholarship presented by the Claysburg Rotary to the senior with the highest average in academic work for 4 years. Bedford County Fall Foliage Scholarship Awarded to a senior for both academic achievement and involvement in school, community, and church activities.
2 Hannah Nicole Claycomb D. E. Brumbaugh Memorial Scholarship presented by the estate of D. Emmert Brumbaugh to a graduate planning to attend a post-secondary institution. First Commonwealth Bank Award given to the salutatorian of the class. NPC FBLA Award given to a student who exemplifies the qualities of a professional business leader. A positive attitude, excellent team work abilities, cooperation with teachers, sincere ethics, honesty, and great attendance were characteristics considered for this award. Athletic Department Award given to the senior girl and boy athlete of the year. Mark S. Leslie Athletic Scholarship awarded to a male and female athlete who have exemplified achievement in the classroom as well as showing strong leadership skills and athletic success. The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania School Award given by the American Legion Auxiliary to a female student who possesses high quality of honor, courage, scholarship, leadership, service and Americanism. Cory Andrew White Nason Foundation Community Service Award presented by the Nason Foundation to a student pursuing a health-related career. The student should be a positive role model and demonstrate leadership skills in the school and community. Claysburg American Legion Award the Claysburg American Legion Post 522 and Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 522 gives this award to the senior boy and girl who have been chosen by faculty as exemplifying outstanding achievement. Claysburg Legion Band Award presented to two members of the high school band Emily Renee Poborsky Warren C. McCarty Memorial Award given by the Claysburg-Kimmel Education Association to a student planning to enter the teaching profession. Galen P. Dively Memorial Award presented in memory of Galen P. Dively, a math and science teacher at Claysburg-Kimmel High School to a senior who has improved the most in science and math over the last four years. M. A. Dively Book Award presented in memory of M. A. Dively who devoted his life to education and served many years as the Superintendent of Blair County Public Schools. This is awarded to a student of the graduating class who has demonstrated outstanding ability, achievement, interest in English composition and English literature. Alan Michael Lightner Arthur R. Walter, Jr. Award presented in memory of Arthur R. Walter, Jr. to the senior with outstanding attendance. BASICS Attendance Counts Award presented by the business and education communities in Blair County, recognizes three high school seniors from each of nine Blair County schools for exceptional attendance during their school careers.
3 Logan Lesley Johnson Brumbaugh Insurance Award given to a senior who has the highest average in the GACTC curriculum Christina LeeAnn Wannyn Champion Home Builders Business Award given to a business student that displays cooperation with other students and teachers, a positive attitude, and exceptional behavior. Hannah Renee Ickes John Yingling Insurance Award given to a student earning academic success in the business course while demonstrating leadership and service to the school and community. Holly LeAnn Acker Claysburg Area Public Library Award presented to a graduating senior who used the public library services the most over four years. CK Alumni Health Profession Award given to a son or daughter of Claysburg-Kimmel alumni, based on outstanding work, enthusiasm for the profession, scholarship, and achievement in relationship to the health careers profession. Brandon Alan Gergely CK Alumni Award given to a son or daughter of Claysburg-Kimmel alumni who demonstrates service to the school and scholarship. Allison Danielle Ritchey CK Alumni Health Profession Award given to a son or daughter of Claysburg-Kimmel alumni, based on outstanding work, enthusiasm for the profession, scholarship, and achievement in relationship to the health careers profession. Claysburg American Legion Award the Claysburg American Legion Post 522 and Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 522 gives this award to the senior boy and girl who has been chosen by faculty as exemplifying outstanding achievement.
