Board President, Matthew Mainville Kevin Walbridge stated that they spoke two weeks prior and that Mr. Mainville stated to put the list of concerns in writing and we ll have you into executive session. That meeting is tonight. Kevin Walbridge Mr. Mainville then stated that tonight s meeting is the first meeting the board has held since they received Walbridge s information in writing and there hasn t been a chance to discuss it among members. 2 St. Regis Mohawk School Principal, Sharlee Thomas, reported: - Local Assistance Plan - Met with Curriculum Committee - Academic Carnival to be held November 5, 2014 St. Regis Mohawk School Principal s Report Trustee Emily Lauzon commented on what a good job they are doing focusing on education and providing good education to all of our students. Superintendent, Jane Collins, handed out a report detailing the Elementary Summer School Katsitsionni Fox gave more information regarding the inaginenative Film + Media Aerts Festival in Toronto, Ontario that her Native Film Students were invited to. Katsitsionni Fox answered that 15 students would be attending the festival. Stated that the letter was very nice. 3 Elementary Principal, Kevin Walbridge, reported: - 84 Students attended elementary summer school this year - He thanked the board for their support in offering the summer school program. - There have been 5 fire drills so far this year. - PTO will reorganize on October 14, This will be their 15 th year at Salmon River Elementary. Elementary School Principal s Report Director of Instruction, Angie Robert, reported - Early dismissal, ½ day, on September 26, 2014 this year was successful and teachers worked on SLO s Director of Special Education, Allen Gravell, reported: - Attended a monthly meeting at FEH BOCES and commented on memo with all students with IEP s have to be aligned with the Common Core standards. - This will be very challenging for the Special Education Department. 7 Qualified Lead Evaluators BE IT RESOLVED, that Jane Collins, Superintendent, has received appropriate training in principal evaluation in accordance with the regulations of the Commissioner of Education, and is hereby re-certified as qualified lead evaluator for the purpose of conducting and/or completing Administrator evaluations.
