10 NCAA Clearinghouse Any student interested in participating in college athletics must apply to the Clearinghouse. This is especially important if you are looking at Division I and/or Division II schools. There is a $50 charge for registering. Register at

11 Report from the SAT & ACT for anyone who plans on playing a college sport. NCCA Clearinghouse requires that SAT & ACT scores must be reported directly from the testing agency. Students should input the clearinghouse code (9999) to make sure the score is reported directly to the clearinghouse. Test scores will NOT be accepted if reported on a high school transcript.

12 Selective Services If you are a male and within 30 days of your 18 th birthday, the law requires you to register with Selective Services. You will not qualify for any federal financial aid, federal job training, or government jobs if you have not registered. Come by the guidance office for more information or register online at

17 Personal Identification Number (PIN) This will serve as your electronic signature when you apply for financial aid after the 1 st of January. Visit to apply for your pin. Parents need a PIN too!!!!!

18 Check List for College Bound Seniors Make final list of schools that interest you and keep a file of deadlines and required admission items for each school. Take SAT and/or ACT tests. Ask teachers for letters of recommendations. Make sure you meet the requirements for all the colleges to which you wish to apply. Double-check the deadlines. Call the admissions and/or financial aid office to be sure they have all the information they need. Go to the financial aid office when you arrive on campus to make sure everything is in order.
