2 NOTES ON THE PROGRAMME RELAUNCH The relaunch of the Erasmus+ programme for academic year 2014/2015 covers the exchange places still available after the acceptance of the places assigned to winners of the first call for applications. Given the timing of this call with respect to the application deadlines set by many partner universities, the call refers only to places available for the 2nd semester of AY 2014/2015. This is due to the fact that the majority of partner universities are no longer accepting students for the first semester (or trimester or other period) applying in early June (10 June is the date of publication of the ranking lists, and is thus the first useful date for sending applications to the host university). However, if the partner university in question allows, students may in any case attend the first semester. Please also remember that by early June some universities will have already closed the applications for the whole academic year 2014/2015. You should therefore find out about the deadlines set at the foreign universities before applying, in order to avoid applying for an exchange place at a university that does not accept students applying after early June. The European Mobility Office will not be responsible for any rejected applications made by students who have not complied with the deadlines set by the partner university. Students attending only the 2nd semester of an exchange published with a duration of over six months must remain at the foreign university until the end of its academic year. Attendance of the host university is therefore determined by the calendar of teaching activities at the host university and by the Certificate of Attendance issued at the end of the study period. In any case, the exchange must be completed by 30/09/2015. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND METHODS The same rules governing the first call (described below) apply also to the relaunch, with the following exceptions: You may apply only for one exchange place, and only for the 2nd semester. The following students may apply: 1. Anyone who did not apply for the first call 2. Anyone who won a place on the first call but did not accept it 3. Anyone who won a place on the first call but was refused by the host university for external reasons (e.g. termination of the agreement or other). The refusal must be documented to the European Mobility Office. 4. Anyone who applied for the first call and is still eligible. Anyone with an eligible position in one or two ranking lists in the first call will retain that position even when applying for the second call (so by applying for the relaunch you may obtain an eligible position in a maximum of three different ranking lists). 5. Anyone who applied for the first call and was classified as "non-eligible". Winners who accepted a place in the first call may not apply for the relaunch, even if they subsequently withdrew. The language test sessions set by the University Linguistic Centre (at Bologna and the Romagna campuses) are reserved for students applying for the relaunch of the Erasmus programme. Candidates who sat the test for the first call may only resit the test for the same language IF: the score obtained previously was below the minimum requirement (level A1), they did not meet the minimum requirements set by their school/vice-deanship, or they are applying for a place for which a higher level or different language is required. The list of exchange places published on is an integral part of the relaunch of the Erasmus 2014/15 programme. Useful information for all students wishing to apply and the general rules governing the programme and the selection process are given below. This concerns in particular the rules, requirements, deadlines and all other indispensable information you need to know before applying. 2

5 GENERAL INFORMATION Purpose The Erasmus+- Mobility for Studies programme offers students the chance to spend a period of continuous study in a European university that has signed an agreement with the University of Bologna. Mobility students will receive a grant, can attend courses and use all the facilities available at the host institution with no additional tuition fees (with the exception of any minor fees also applicable to local students). All learning activities approved in the Learning Agreement and completed successfully will be fully recognised. The Erasmus+ Programme offers students the chance to gain cultural experience abroad, become familiar with other higher education systems and meet young people from other countries, actively contributing to the process of European integration. Countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme Mobility for studies may be done in a university in one of the following countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme: - the 27 member states of the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Hungary. Funding The grants offered to Erasmus+ Mobility for Studies students do not cover all the costs, but are merely a contribution to bearing the additional costs of the stay abroad. The grants may be funded by: A European Union contribution. A monthly amount, established according to the country of destination and the actual amount of time spent abroad. The funding varies according to groups of countries with similar costs of living; the amount varies from 230 EUR to 280 EUR. You can find all the information you need on the website: An additional amount from the University of Bologna and the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research. This amount is not yet known, as it is established according to the available funds and the total number of months to be funded. This amount is paid at the end of Possibly an additional contribution for students recognised by ER.GO (Regional Board for the Right to Higher Studies for Emilia-Romagna). As soon as the National Agency has notified the criteria for assignment of any additional contributions, the information will be published to all students applying for the programme on the website: Grants are awarded exclusively for admissible activities performed abroad (see para. Activities performed at the foreign university and Learning Agreement), for a period of min. 3 and max. 12 months. The period must be continuative, and shall start from 1 June The grants are also linked to the studies and/or activities performed abroad and their recognition by the Degree Programme Board: students who do not satisfactorily complete any learning activities, or whose activities are not recognised or do not require recognition by the Degree Programme Board, shall be required to refund any grants received. 5

6 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND METHODS General admission requirements To apply for the Erasmus+ - Mobility for Studies programme for AY 2014/15 you must: 1. be enrolled at the University of Bologna for the current academic year, whatever your nationality; N.B.: Students who are nationals of one of the ERASMUS+ partner countries enrolled at the University of Bologna are eligible for mobility studies at a university in their country of origin provided they are not still resident in that country; in any case, they will not be given priority in the selection process. Prior to confirming their acceptance of the exchange place, they must in any case obtain the approval of the host university. Students enrolled in a previous degree system (prior D.M. 509/1999) may not apply, with the exception of students enrolled in degree programme no. 1313, Four-year Primary Education Sciences. 2. demonstrate appropriate language competences (see paragraph on Language requirements); 3. submit a draft study plan, listing the course units you wish to attend at the partner university and your motivations (see paragraph Activities performed at the foreign university and Learning Agreement); 4. renew your registration for AY 2014/2015 by the set deadlines. If the activities performed abroad are for the purposes of preparing the dissertation, students do not have to pay the tuition fees for the new academic year, provided they submit their graduation application within the terms set for the extraordinary session for AY 2013/14, i.e. February-March Students applying who are enrolled in the third year of a 1st cycle degree or are not aligned to the exam schedule who plan to graduate in AY 2013/14, must be enrolled in a 2nd cycle degree programme for AY 2014/15. In particular, these students may only apply for exchange places available from the second semester, otherwise their applications will be rejected. Under no circumstances can they apply for departure in the first semester, even where approved by the host university. Concerning applications for exchanges lasting more than 6 months, attendance of the host university is determined by the calendar of teaching activities at the host university and by the Certificate of Attendance issued at the end of the study period. In any case, mobility students may not graduate prior to the end of the study period abroad and only after the recognition of the activities performed abroad. Incompatibility Students applying for the Erasmus+ - Mobility for Studies programme: May obtain an Erasmus+ grant for any study cycle (1st, 2nd, PhD) and for no more than 12 months per cycle; for single cycle programmes (e.g. Medicine) the maximum length is 24 months. Previous mobility studies under Erasmus, Erasmus Placement, Erasmus Mundus Action 1 (only for students obtaining Erasmus grants until AY 2010/11 for structured mobility) in the LLP programme must be considered for the purposes of calculating the months already performed, to check if students have already reached or exceeded the 12 months maximum period for the cycle. May not receive other EU funding at the same time as the Erasmus+ grant (including grants for Joint Master Degrees - Erasmus Mundus Action 1) or funds from the University of Bologna for mobility studies abroad; who are awarded an Erasmus+ exchange place may not, during the same academic year, take part in other exchange programmes for the same purposes (studies); they may on the other hand be awarded exchange places for other purposes (internships, research for dissertation work, study and internship programmes). Exceptions to this are students enrolled in Degree Programmes with mandatory mobility. Incoming international students with an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 grant enrolled in 2nd cycle degree programmes may not receive an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 grant and an Erasmus+ contribution at the same time. For EMA2 that so permit, students may suspend their grants if they are awarded an Erasmus+ contribution, having obligatorily notified the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Office and the project coordinator in advance and obtained their approval. Language requirements To ensure that Erasmus+ mobility students are aware of their language skills and competences required for their stay abroad, the University of Bologna has introduced mandatory language testing for the 2014/2015 programme. These tests aim to: a) provide students with a prompt assessment of their language skills so that they can take the required steps to improve them, b) provide supervisors with a uniform assessment tool when drafting the ranking lists, c) provide certification of the students' language skills in order to respond to the - increasingly frequent - requests of partner universities. 6

7 To apply for the Erasmus+ programme 2014/15, your language skills must be certified to level A1 of the CEFR (European Reference Framework for language knowledge as recognised by the Council of Europe, see: The test results are not only a requirement for applying for the programme but will be assessed for the purposes of your position in the ranking list. You can sit the test for a maximum of three languages, and for each chosen language, only once. For the countries indicating two languages, you may sit the test for either language. You must register for the test at the University Linguistic Centre (in Bologna or the Romagna campuses) only between 5 and 12 May am. The language testing sessions for: French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and German will be held on 15 and 16 May 2014 (see the calendar on the University Linguistic Centre website for Bologna and the Romagna campuses). You will only be allowed to register for the test held the day after 15 May if the places for that date have all been filled. No subsequent tests will be held after these. All students must sit the language test, and must achieve at least level A1, unless they are in one of the exemption categories listed below. The following students are exempted from language tests: 1. Students enrolled on degree programmes delivered entirely in English (see list in Ann. 1). These students must however submit appropriate certification (or sit the exam) if they wish to apply for a place at a university at which English is not the test language; 2. Students with an official certificate issued by a Certifying Body listed in the European Reference Framework equivalence tables (Annex 2) or a UNIBO CLA (or ex CILTA/CLIRO) certificate, excluding any certificates concerning language exams. Certificates dated prior to 01/01/2012 will not be considered; 3. Students who have passed a language test in the past two academic years 2012/13 and 2013/14 for other mobility programmes (Erasmus, Erasmus Placement or Overseas) at the UNIBO University Linguistic Centre. Students enrolled on degree programmes at the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Translation and Interpreting, taking part in exchanges coordinated by the School, are exempted from sitting the mandatory test as their language skills will be assessed by the School. In particular: Students enrolled in the Vice-Deanship of Bologna can check the language requirements on page: Students enrolled in the Vice-Deanship of Forlì can check the language requirements on page: Students enrolled on degree programmes at the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Translation and Interpreting taking part in exchanges coordinated by other Schools must comply with the criteria laid down in the call for applications for the students of all other Schools. Students wishing to register with the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Translation and Interpreting and spend a period studying abroad in future (e.g. students enrolled on first cycle Arts degrees wishing to proceed with a second cycle degree at the School of Languages), must comply with the criteria laid down for the students of all other Schools. WARNING: All types of knowledge assessment for the purposes of application shall not exempt students from: Checking the language requirements of the partner university they wish to attend under the Erasmus+ programme; Checking the following details in the specific exchange programme: - Any minimum language requirements set by the referred School/Vice-Deanship - Any other language requirements set by the academic contact person In these cases the results of the language test must not be lower than the minimum level required. E.g.: 1: Many Dutch universities require Erasmus+ students to submit a TOEFL certificate with their application form. Students awarded a place at one of these universities must in any case obtain the required certificate within the deadlines set by the university. 7

8 E.g.: 2: Some UNIBO Schools/Vice-Deanships set minimum language requirements for drafting the ranking lists of eligible students, which may also be higher than those required by the university for applying for the programme. Please check carefully. Any applications without the above certification, testing and/or exemptions will be deemed incomplete and will be rejected. Finally, candidates sitting the language test may obtain automatic recognition for curricular eligibility only when submitting an application for the Erasmus+ programme 2014/15 and passing the set level threshold required to pass the exam in their study plan. Recognition may be obtained even if the curricular language skills are laid down in the study plan for years following 2013/14. Choosing a destination - consult the list of available places Applications may be submitted for only one place. The places available may vary during the period in which the call is published, as the partner universities may notify variations which could affect, for example, the type of degree programme the places refer to. Offered places bearing the indication "place not yet confirmed by the partner university" refer to the fact that, at the time of publication, the partner university has not yet guaranteed availability for that exchange place for students of the University of Bologna. It is important to remember that the terms of these agreements could vary after the call for applications has been published and/or that, when applying for and being awarded a place at these universities, if the agreement is not confirmed by the partner university you may not actually be awarded the exchange place. Concerning the years of registration, please consider that: The years of registration to which the available places refer are those of the exchange period. Therefore, for example, if a place available in this call (referring to AY 2014/15) is open to the 2nd year of a 1st cycle (threeyear) degree, students who in AY 2013/14 are enrolled in the 1st year may apply, because in AY 2014/15 they will be in year 2. Students who in AY 2013/14 are enrolled in year 3 of a 1st cycle degree may apply for places open to 1st cycle students only if in AY 2014/15 they are enrolled as not aligned to the exam schedule. They may on the other hand apply for places open to 2nd cycle students, submitting an application for future careers, considering that the period of study abroad can only be undertaken once they have graduated from the 1st cycle degree and registered for a 2nd cycle programme. Students applying based on future careers can perform the mobility studies only in the second semester, even where they are awarded an exchange contribution for a longer period (e.g. 10 or 12 months); in these cases, the exchange period will be reduced on their return, based on the certificate of attendance issued by the partner university. "Mandatory interview" and the provisions of the "notes" section refer to the criteria and requirements specified directly by the supervisor. If the exchange place requires a "Mandatory interview", candidates must have an interview with the supervisor before submitting their application (unless otherwise specified); students not passing the interview before submitting their application may not be considered eligible. Students who can sit language tests at the University Linguistic Centres (French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and German), must do so and submit the appropriate certification (see LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS). Choosing a destination - check there are no grounds for exclusion Once you have chosen the places you are interested in, check on the partner university websites that there are no conditions which preclude the possibility of participating: application deadlines too close, language requirements too high, incompatibility of teaching subjects. In this phase it is also a good idea to speak with the supervisor, even if an interview is not listed as a mandatory requirement. The partner universities may not accept students even if they have passed the selection process at the University of Bologna. Usually they indicate the reasons why selected students may not be accepted by the partner university: 1. Deadlines set in the partner university application procedures. Many partner universities require selected students to complete and send a number of application forms (registration forms, accommodation forms, course registration forms, etc.) within strict deadlines. Students not sending the application forms by the set deadline will automatically be rejected. In some cases the deadline set by the partner university may be very close to the period in which the University of Bologna publishes the ranking lists or the date of acceptance of the exchange place by the student. Students are therefore invited to check the deadlines on the website of their chosen partner university prior to submitting an application. 2. Language requirements set by the partner university. Although our university requires all students interested in the Erasmus+ programme to sit a language test or certify their language skills in the methods 8

9 laid down in the "language requirements" section of this call for applications, you should remember that more and more universities require higher language proficiencies, often demonstrated by international certifications. You must find out about the language requirements set by the partner university, consulting the website or contacting the International Relations office at the partner university directly. In most cases, the partner universities require applicants to demonstrate that they comply with the language requirements when they submit the application form. 3. Possible incompatibility between the study plan and the partner university course catalogue. Before applying, find out about the study options at the partner university, to avoid having your proposed study plan rejected. For further details, contact the University of Bologna supervisor and consult the partner university website. 4. Entering and staying in the foreign country. You must find out about the procedures for entering and residing temporarily in the foreign country, from the partner university, embassy or consulate: if you require an entry visa, how long it takes, what procedures to follow, how to apply for a residence permit, etc. Not all this information is available at the University of Bologna offices, you may only find it at the foreign university. These requirements often change from year to year, so it is not possible to include all the information in the sheets for each exchange place. We therefore recommend that students find out about these matters by themselves before applying, as it is not possible to modify or integrate the applications once they have been submitted. In any case, students awarded an exchange place must remember that the final decision will be taken by the host universities, and in the event of refusal it is not possible for the University of Bologna to assign other places. Activities performed at the foreign university and Learning Agreement You must also indicate the learning activities you intend to perform during your stay abroad. This information is purely indicative, and does not preclude the possibility of selecting other activities for your official study plan (Learning Agreement) which must be approved by the Degree Programme Board prior to departure. In this respect, the activities permitted during your mobility studies are: learning activities (course units) and relative tests (exams); preparation for the dissertation and/or thesis; internships (only where permitted in your degree programme regulation); attendance (valid only for learning activities not yet completed at the University of Bologna, and in any case only where approved by the Degree Programme Board when approving the Learning Agreement; for more information contact the supervisor). N.B. Specialist medical students must obtain the agreement of the director of the Specialisation School and the authorisation of the School Board for all learning activities performed abroad. They must also check the insurance cover with the competent offices. Similarly, PhD students must obtain the agreement of the PhD coordinator for the learning activities performed abroad. Submission of applications Candidates may apply for only one exchange place. The application must be submitted exclusively on-line on Alma RM, from the date of publication of the call for applications: following the guided procedure. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OPEN from Tuesday 29 April 2014 DEADLINE Tuesday 20 May 2014: 1.00 pm. To apply, you must: - have your university credentials (username and password) for access to Alma RM; - read the notes on how to complete the application found on the Alma RM homepage, explaining how to use the on line application system; - upload to Alma RM: a self-certification of your degree certificate and a list of exams, ONLY if you have a 1st or 2nd cycle degree from another university. The supervisor will not be able to assess your career without this selfcertification and may not be able to confirm the eligibility of your application Your draft study plan for the foreign university and relative motivations (these will be assessed) any other annexes deemed useful for assessment 9

10 a language certificate in compliance with the instructions in the call for applications (only for those indicating this exemption category). The documents must be uploaded to Alma RM in pdf format with the application, otherwise the application will be rejected. When completing the application, you must declare that you meet the requirements laid down in the call for applications. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. YOU MAY NOT MODIFY OR CANCEL YOUR APPLICATION ONCE IT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED. Once you have submitted your application, you will be sent an to your institutional account informing you that your application was uploaded successfully. If you have any trouble enabling and/or using your institutional account, please consult the following page The next steps are: the offices will check your application and that you meet the requirements, and then admit your application for evaluation all admitted applications are subsequently assessed by the supervisors in charge of drafting the ranking lists 10

11 SELECTION PROCEDURES Criteria for drafting the ranking lists The criteria for drafting the ranking lists are the same for all students in all Schools at the University. These criteria are: - for students enrolled in all years of 1st cycle (three-year), 2nd cycle (master) and single cycle degree programmes: 1. The opinion of the supervisor on: (maximum 40 points) - the consistency of the proposed activities with the student's university career, the course catalogue of the host university and the duration of the mobility programme; consider that the indications given in the application under "exams/activities performed abroad" will be assessed; - the motivations listed in the application, integrated with the results of the interview (where applicable); - compliance with any mandatory interview requirements (where specified in the call for applications); - language skills; - any other elements indicated by the student in the application or during the interview (other learning experiences, specific academic interests, etc.). 2. The weighted average of the grades obtained by the student and the ratio of the year of enrolment and the credits acquired, as recorded with the student administration office as of 23 May 2014 (maximum 60 points). Given that the credits and averages data refer only to the programme the student is registered for at the time of application, all students must check the data in the student administration records to check that all completed learning activities have been recorded. - for PhD students: 1. The opinion of the supervisor on: (maximum 40 points) - the consistency of the proposed activities with the student's university career, the course catalogue of the host university and the duration of the mobility programme; consider that the indications given in the application under "exams/activities performed abroad" will be assessed; - the motivations listed in the application, integrated with the results of the interview (where applicable); - compliance with any mandatory interview requirements (where specified in the call for applications); - language skills; - any other elements indicated by the student in the application or during the interview (other learning experiences, specific academic interests, etc.). 2. The grade of the PhD entrance exam (maximum 30 points) 3. The grade of the 2nd cycle degree (maximum 30 points) - for students enrolled in Specialisation Schools 1. The opinion of the supervisor on: (maximum 40 points) - the consistency of the proposed activities with the student's university career, the course catalogue of the host university and the duration of the mobility programme; consider that the indications given in the application under "exams/activities performed abroad" will be assessed; - the motivations listed in the application, integrated with the results of the interview (where applicable); - compliance with any mandatory interview requirements (where specified in the call for applications); - language skills; - any other elements indicated by the student in the application or during the interview (other learning experiences, specific academic interests, etc.). 2. The average grade of the learning activities completed at the Specialisation School recorded by the student administration office as of 23 May 2014 (maximum 30 points) 3. The grade of the 2nd cycle degree (maximum 30 points) Students enrolled in the four-year Primary Education Sciences programme will be assessed on: 11

The opinion of the supervisor on: (maximum 40 points) - the consistency of the proposed activities with the student's university career, the course catalogue of the host university and the duration of the mobility programme; consider that the indications given in the application under "exams/activities performed abroad" will be assessed; - the motivations listed in the application, integrated with the results of the interview (where applicable); - compliance with any mandatory interview requirements (where specified in the call for applications); - language skills; - any other elements indicated by the student in the application or during the interview (other learning experiences, specific academic interests, etc.). 2. The arithmetical average of the grades obtained by the student and the ratio of the year of enrolment and the exams completed, as recorded with the student administration office as of 23 May 2014 (maximum 60 points). The total score will be reduced by one point for students not aligned to the exam schedule from year 2 onwards (no penalties will be applied for year 1). All students given a score of 0 by the supervisor will be considered ineligible, and will not be included in the ranking list. Remember that once the ranking lists are published, you must check the deadlines and comply with all the rules laid down for accepting the awarded exchange place. Accepting the exchange place, withdrawals, replacements After the deadline for submission of applications (see calendar below), the supervisors will assess the applications and notify the offices of the ranking lists, which will then be published on-line in AlmaRM. After the publication of the ranking lists (10 June 2014), the winners must confirm their acceptance of the exchange place within one week (see calendar below) in AlmaRM. After this date, the winners who have not accepted the awarded place will be automatically eliminated from the ranking lists, leaving the place vacant for the students further down the list. After 17 June 2014 (deadline for accepting the awarded places), in the event of withdrawals, the offices will contact the next students in the ranking list by using the institutional account (@studio.unibo.it), indicating the deadline for confirming acceptance of the place; if these places are in turn not accepted within the set deadline, the offices will proceed to contact the next students in the ranking list. You should therefore pay close attention to the deadlines and check your institutional account. Once you have confirmed your acceptance of the exchange place, you must: sign an "Individual Contract" with the University of Bologna, indicating the minimum requirements established by the European Commission (this contract is signed by all Erasmus+ students from all countries participating in the programme); finalise your study plan, also known as the Learning Agreement, and have it approved by the Degree Programme Board: this is required for the recognition of all the activities you will undertake abroad; comply with all administrative procedures (application procedures) required by the partner university (application form, language certificates, and any other required documentation). Although the European Mobility Office "appoints" the winners (i.e. notifies the partner universities of the winners of the selection process), students must in any case find out about and comply with the administrative procedures and relative deadlines set by the partner universities, otherwise they may not be accepted by the partner university even if they have been awarded a place in the selection process organised by the University of Bologna. You may withdraw from an exchange place even after you have accepted it, simply by recording your withdrawal in AlmaRM. You must notify your withdrawal as soon as possible if you discover that you cannot accept the exchange place, and in any case no later than 31 July Only withdrawals notified before this date will allow the possibility to offer the place to other eligible candidates in the ranking list. The exchange places withdrawn from after such date will remain vacant and cannot be re-assigned. Withdrawals will not affect the candidates' academic career or their possibility to apply for subsequent programmes. N.B. PROCEDURE MANAGER Pursuant to Article 4 of Italian Law no. 241 of 7 August 1990 (New regulations governing administrative procedures and the right to access administrative documents), the Procedure Manager is Maria Concetta Chiaravalloti, Head of the European Mobility and International Internships Office. Candidates may exercise their rights concerning access to the competition procedure documents, as laid down in the laws in force. Requests must be sent to DIRI- European Mobility and International Internships Office, Via Zamboni 33, Bologna, completing the form obtained from this office. Information note pursuant to art. 13 of D.Lgs. no. 196 of , "Personal Data Act" 1. Purpose of the processing. The University of Bologna will proceed with the processing of the data provided exclusively for institutional purposes and in compliance with the personal data protection laws. In particular, the requested personal data will be processed to draft the ranking lists for the award of exchange places and grants. 2. Processing methods and persons concerned. The personal data is processed using both computer systems and manually on hard copy, in full compliance with the personal data protection laws (D.Lgs. 196/03). The data may be disclosed to external parties, for the evaluation of the applications, assessment of grants and other financial contributions for mobility studies. 3. Data Manager: The Data Manager concerning the establishment of the ranking lists for the award of exchange places, is the University of Bologna, via Zamboni, Bologna, who can be contacted to exercise the rights laid down in art. 7 of D.Lgs. 196/003. The Head of International Relations is the Data Manager. 4. Rights laid down in art. 7 of D.Lgs. 196/2003: (Right of access to personal data and other rights) 1. The party concerned has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence of his/her personal data, even if it has not yet been recorded, and its communication in an intelligible form. 2. The person concerned has the right to obtain information concerning: a) the origin of his/her personal data; b) the purpose(s) of processing and the methods use; c) the logic applied to the processing of his/her personal data using electronic equipment; d) the details of the data controller and data processors and the representative, where designated pursuant to article 5, para. 2; e) the parties or categories of parties to which the personal data may be disclosed, or the parties which may have access to the data in their capacity as designated representative or his appointed staff in the national territory. 3. The person concerned has the right to obtain: a) the updating, correction and/or integration of his/her personal data; b) the deletion, transformation into an anonymous form or suspension of any data processed in breach of the law, including those for which storage is not required in relation to the purposes for which the data was collected or subsequently processed; c) the confirmation that the operations referred to in points a) and b) have been notified, also as far as the content is concerned, to those to whom the data was communicated or transmitted, except in those cases in which such notification is impossible or requires the use of means which are manifestly disproportionate to the protected right. 4. The person concerned has the right to oppose, wholly or partly: a) the processing of his/her personal data wholly or partially for legitimate reasons even where this is pertinent to the purposes for which the data was collected; b) the processing of his/her personal data for the purposes of sending advertising or direct sales materials or for the execution of market research or marketing surveys. 13
