ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCES (1) Director, Center for Korean Studies, Binghamton University, 2008-Present ( Academic leadership and fiscal management of the Center for Korean Studies at Binghamton University with 6 core and 20 affiliated faculty and 3 staff members I oversee the Center s administration, activity and budget. The CKS has 6 core faculty, 20 affiliated faculty and three staff members. As a center devoted to the study of Korea, its goals are to foster research across disciplines and to use the academic resources of the university to promote the understanding of Korea. The center seeks to promote interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches to Korean Studies by drawing on University faculty in disciplines as diverse as art history, Korean American diasporas, history, economics, language, linguistics, literature, sociology and political science. The Center conducts invited speaker series, conferences, workshops, symposium, and sponsors research projects, scholarships and Korean events.
