ERASMUS Internships Regular students of the University of Vienna can apply for a scholarship for a self organized internship in one of the European countries participating in the ERASMUS program. Excellent opportunity to build-up collaborations whenever an Erasmus Agreement does not exist between the two Universities - Ideal for personal connections between scientists Non-EU Student Exchange (extra-european mobility, Russia, Ukraine) Spending one or two semesters at a partner university. This is possible, if the desired host university has concluded an exchange agreement with the University of Vienna (for all faculties or only for the field of study in question) and if the student is nominated by the University of Vienna for a Non-EU Student Exchange period abroad. Grants will be awarded depending on the funds available. 4

5 Outgoing Students - 2 ERASMUS International Mobility (extra-european mobility with Erasmus+) This program is designed for our Master and PhD students of selected study fields who want to spend one semester abroad at one of our partner universities. Short-term grant abroad (Kurzfristige Auslandsstipendien, KWA) Diploma, doctoral, master or PhD students who wish to carry out indispensable work abroad (laboratory work, field studies or research in archives, libraries, scientific collections, etc.) are offered the possibilty of applying for a short-term grant abroad 2 week minimum; 3 months max. Applicants with an employment contract who are granted leave of absence on full pay will receive 50 % of the monthly grant if their net monthly salary exceeds The short-term grant abroad (KWA) cannot be combined with other exchange programs such as ERASMUS, Non-EU StudentExchange etc. Marietta Blau OEAD and Stipendium der Monatshefte für Chemie (ÖAW-GÖCH) (6-12 months) - PhD-scholars from Austrian Universities COST Actions (Short-term scientific missions 5-90 days) 5

6 PhD Mobility Special Programs UW Alfred Ebenbauer Scholarship Scientific cooperation between the University of Vienna and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem The scholarships are particularly intended to enable scientists of Hebrew University to spend some time at the University of Vienna and to initiate new cooperation projects. Marshall Plan Scholarships Program Academic exchange program to fund scholarships and fellowships for academic exchange between Austria and the US (> 3 months) University of California, Berkeley (USA) One exchange semester grant Uni:docs PhD Fellowships (ca. 25/year) 36-months full funded grants with the possibility to spend a stage abroad 6
