At dunia, we are committed to Education and we believe that providing the right support to our young leaders is key to shaping our future. dunia, in partnership with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is awarding scholarships to applicants accepted into The Chicago Booth Summer Business Scholars Program. This intensive three week program is designed to help participants gain an early insight into business and leadership. The program offers an opportunity to learn business fundamentals, engage in workshops on leadership, networking and problem solving and interact with Fortune 500 companies. So, who are our future leaders? 3 Instructions to Applicants: The Dunia Young Leaders Scholarship for The Chicago Booth Summer Business Scholars Program is a highly competitive scholarship offered upto 8 applicants who are pursuing Undergraduate studies or have recently graduated and get accepted into The Chicago Booth Summer Business Scholars Program. The scholarship application must be filled by the Applicant along with details of parent/legal guardian. Full details of the the Applicant as well as the parent/legal guardian of the Applicant must be filled in the application form. Please read the instructions carefully and be sure to include a copy of the following documents and information with your application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Completed Application Form signed by the Applicant. If the Applicant is below the age of 21 the Scholarship Application form should also be signed by his/her parent/legal guardian. Further, I/We agree and understand that the Information is released without any liability or responsibility on the part of Dunia and that the Information provided by Dunia to any Credit Bureau will be made available by that Credit Bureau to its members. 9 A. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS i. This document outlines the terms and conditions for the Dunia Young Leaders Scholarship ( the Scholarship ) administered and granted by Dunia Finance LLC (Dunia) solely for the purpose of The Chicago Booth Summer Scholars Program ( the Program ). The Applicant is expected to read, understand and accept these Terms and Conditions in its entirety before applying for the Scholarship. When the Applicant registers his/her interest in the Scholarship by submitting the application form, he/she is accepting the Terms and Conditions and agrees to the requirements and conditions of the Scholarship; ii. Dunia reserves the right to modify or cancel any statement in the Scholarship description and information as it is listed on without prior notice and accepts no responsibility for the consequences of such change. All decisions shall be at the sole discretion of Dunia; iii. Applicant is the person being considered for the grant of the Scholarship; iv. If the Applicant is below the age of 21 the Scholarship application form should be signed by his/her parent/legal guardian as well; v. The Applicant should be accepted for The Program at the University of Chicago Booth ( the University ) in order to be eligible for the Scholarship; vi. There is no restriction to the number of applications per family. Documentation, as specified below must be submitted for each Application separately; vii. Filling this Application form does not guarantee a grant of the Scholarship. The Applicant may be requested for additional documentation and the Applicant will go through a selection process as specified below to be eligible for the Scholarship; viii. All correspondence during the application process will be sent to the permanent mailing address or to the Applicant s id provided by the Applicant on the application form. Applicants must provide the correct address/ id and inform Dunia of any subsequent change in name or address details by submitting the information via to scholarship@dunia.ae; ix. A Scholarship granted to an Applicant is not transferable; x. The Applicant must provide evidence of being accepted by the University into the Program; xi. An Application will be considered complete only upon receipt of all the required information duly filled submitted along with the supporting documents set out in section C hereto by the Closing Date; xii. Dunia is not responsible for the inability of the Applicant to pursue the Program due to cancellation of the Program or cancelled flights or any other reason whatsoever; xiii. The Applicant and his/her parents/legal guardian, spouse (if residents of the UAE) must be credit worthy and Dunia shall determine the same at its discretion; xiv. The Applicant and his/her parents/legal guardian, spouse (if residents of the UAE) must consent to (i) credit bureau(s) including but not limited to Al Etihad Credit Bureau Company (the Credit Bureau ) disclosing any and all information relating to the Applicant including but not limited to personal information, financial data and credit information ( the Information ), to Dunia in relation to the Scholarship application and on an on-going basis and to (ii) Dunia accessing any Credit Bureau s database to carry out credit checks and to obtain Information; Further, the Applicant must agree and understand that the Information is released without any liability or responsibility on the part of dunia and that the Information provided by dunia to any Credit Bureau will be made available by that Credit Bureau to its members. B. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS In order to be eligible Applicants for the Scholarship, individuals must satisfy all the following requirements: i. The Applicants or their parents / legal guardian / spouse must be residents of the UAE; ii. The Applicant must have been accepted by the University for the Program; iii. The Applicant must demonstrate the attainment of strong academic grades in his/her current university; iv. The Applicant must have achieved awards and honours in the field of his/her interest as a part of any extra- curricular program. C. DOCUMENTATION The following documents shall be provided by the Applicant, the Applicant s spouse as well as the Applicant s parents/legal guardian: i. Copy of the passport (with six (6) months validity); or ii. Copy of Emirates ID; iii. Copy of the Khulasat Khaid (for UAE Nationals); iv. Copy of a valid residence visa (for expatriates who are UAE residents); In addition to the above, the Applicant shall provide the following documents upon request: i. Copy of the last 3 years school/university report/mark sheet (if applicable); ii. Copies of any awards/honours bestowed on the Applicant; Note: Dunia may at its discretion request for original documents to be furnished in order to verify the particulars. All originals documents shall be returned to the Applicant upon verification. Dunia may also request for any additional documentation prior to granting the Scholarship. D. PROCESS i. Applicants are required to directly apply to the University through the University website for the Program; ii. Application submissions for the 2016 Scholarship are open. Applicants may refer to the closing date ( Closing Date ) for applications on the website of Dunia; iii. The Applicant should apply for the Scholarship by completing the online application form available on within the Closing Date and ing to scholarship@dunia.ae; iv. Applications received after the Closing Date will not be considered. We recommend submission of applications as early as possible, preferably well before the Closing Date; Page 9 of 10

10 v. Applications will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria by Dunia; vi. Incomplete Applications will be rejected. Please refer to clause A(x) above; vii. Successful Applicants may be invited for a panel interview conducted by Dunia and may be required to qualify Dunia s assessment tests; viii. The decision on selection of Applicants for the interview will be made by Dunia. Dunia reserves the right to accept/reject an Application at its discretion. Dunia is not obliged to provide any explanation regarding the selection; ix. Applicants will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in travelling to attend the interview; x. Due to high volumes of applications received, it is not possible to give feedback on individual applications. Only the selected Applicants will be informed and will receive a Scholarship Offer Letter; xi. The Scholarship offer letter will guide the Applicant on how to accept or reject the scholarship. If the Applicant does not respond to the Scholarship offer by the date outlined therein, the Scholarship will be rescinded. E. GRANT AMOUNT i. The Scholarship covers only the tuition fee for the duration of the Program up to a maximum of USD 6,300 (US Dollars Six Thousand Three Hundred only) and excludes any other out of pocket expenses including but not limited to insurance, the costs of books, travel to and from the Applicant s country of residence to the University, accommodation, personal living allowance and costs of entry clearance (visas); ii. Dunia at its sole discretion will establish the amount of the eligible tuition fee for establishing the grant value; iii. The grantee of the Scholarship shall be presented with a Letter of Achievement upon being granted the Scholarship. F. DISBURSAL OF FUNDS The Scholarship amount will be paid by Dunia directly to the University, upon the University confirming acceptance of the Applicant. G. PRIVACY i. Dunia agrees to respect the privacy of the Applicant/Applicant s personal information; ii. All information provided by the Applicant including the name and photograph of the Applicant/parent/legal guardian/spouse will become the property of Dunia and may be used by Dunia for the purposes of data collection/statistical analysis or marketing related activities such as inclusion in any Dunia advertisement whether audio and/or visual for its products and offers and events related thereto. Dunia may approach the Applicant/Applicant s parents/legal guardian/spouse (if resident in the UAE) with such offers of financial products provided by Dunia; iii. Other purposes of information collection include handling administrative matters relating to the Applicant s application, administration to the Program, corresponding with the Applicant and compliance with legislative reporting requirements; iv. The information may also be disclosed to contracted service providers that Dunia uses to perform services on its behalf; v. The Applicant also agrees to authorise Dunia to share the fact that the Applicant is a recipient of the Scholarship in the public domain. H. MISCELLANEOUS i. Scholarships are limited and the selection of Applicants for this Scholarship would be at the sole discretion of Dunia. Dunia is not obliged to provide an explanation regarding any decision on grantees of the Scholarship; ii. Dunia reserves the right to determine the amount of the scholarship and may grant 100% or less of the tuition fees at its sole discretion; iii. Dunia is not obliged to grant any Scholarship if the Applicants do not meet eligible selection criteria; iv. Grantees are only allowed to receive the Scholarship once; v. The Applicant must keep Dunia informed of: any change in address/ id of the Applicant/Applicant; any legal action (civil or criminal), actual or threatened that the Applicant is involved in; any injury or illness suffered by the Applicant resulting in the inability to continue with the education for which the Scholarship is granted. I. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION i. Dunia reserves the right to revoke the Scholarship in the event that the recipient does not pursue the Program or does not complete the Program for any reason whatsoever; ii. All grantees are expected to follow standards of conduct while representing Dunia as a Scholarship recipient. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of the Scholarship; iii. Dunia may at its sole discretion revoke the scholarship if the recipient does not adhere to any of the terms and conditions set out hereinabove. Upon revocation of the Scholarship, the amount of the Grant shall be converted into a personal loan in the name of the Applicant/Applicant s parent/legal guardian/spouse, at the sole discretion of Dunia and subject to the Dunia Terms and Conditions, which are available on Dunia s website at Page 10 of 10
