15 The EAIE Academy online The latest EAIE training initiative, launched in May 2014 Each webinar lasts minutes, has two trainers and caters to individuals with one specific learning need The first four webinars took place in May and June on two important subjects for international higher education professionals: marketing & recruitment and admissions & accreditationasdf New webinars will be offered this autumn. The first autumn webinar will take place on 22 October on the topic of Spotting fraud in Russian credentials

19 Leadership study Skills needed for the future Among leaders in HE Internationalisation in Europe and Australia The report sheds light on the need for generic and specific leadership capabilities by the future generation of international education leaders in Australia and Europe as well as the challenges in internationalisation. Report: leadership

20 Leadership study: skills set Innovation and entrepreneurial/strategic skills to meet ever changing external and internal challenges Strategic planning, change management, project management, intercultural communication, negotiation skills and human resource management Mentoring, coaching, one-on-one peer learning

21 Leadership study 1. Joint leaders academy This could possibly operate as a revolving leadership series through three-four conferences each year (the EAIE, AIEC, APAIE, AIEA). The focus would be on sharing practice and improving capabilities and skills. Example: Leadership roundtable EAIE and AIEA 2. Young Professionals Forum/Debate This could possibly be offered annually at one of the major international conferences, with a focus on a major topical theme, with dissemination of the outcomes of the event. 3. Joint-shadowing project for young leaders One each year in Europe, Asia and Australia involving five young leaders from each location shadowing five senior leaders in one of the other locations. 4. Joint theme based seminars For executive/middle managers and leaders framed around the joint case studies to be developed by the Associations.
