Led development of the social capital and social cohesion conceptual model informed by theory and empirical evidence. Cleaned, processed and analyzed data for confirmatory factor analysis. Conducted confirmatory factor analyses using LISREL and MPlus software. Assisted in manuscript development and submission. Research Assistant (Dr. Katie Maguire Jack) January present Collective Efficacy and Child Maltreatment Project Collaborated in design of a child maltreatment secondary data analysis with Fragile Families Child Wellbeing (FFCW) data. Prepared data for multivariate analyses. Conducted structural equation modeling using LISREL software. Co-author in manuscript development and submission. Graduate Research Assistant (Dr. Audrey Begun) August June 2013 (Paid) Empowering Mothers to Establish Smoke-free Homes (EMESH project) Assisted in planning and developing Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposals for qualitative and quantitative research project conducted in three phases. Recruited parent participants (inpatient neonatal care unit and outpatient follow-up clinics). Conducted semi-structured interviews with mothers regarding their infants past, present and anticipated environmental tobacco smoke and residue exposure. Assisted in developing coding scheme for qualitative interviews. Primary coder for qualitative interviews; assisted in analysis and interpretation of content. Developed a recording scheme for clinical data mining with infants medical records. Facilitated development and maintenance of multidisciplinary university-community research team. Assisted with quantitative analyses and preparation of results for presentations and manuscripts. Collected, processed and managed quantitative data using SPSS. Performed literature searches utilizing academic library databases. Assisted in modifying instruments related to medical staff engagement with parents in spirit of motivational interviewing conversations specific to infant exposure to environmental tobacco smoke and smoke residue.
