1 4 th Annual World Trauma Congress Society of Trauma Nurses Sponsored Session The Society of Trauma Nurses (STN) is excited to collaborate with AAST for the 4 th World Trauma Congress. At this conference we promise to offer discussions, education and networking opportunities that will strengthen and invigorate your trauma nursing practice no matter what continent you live on. The topics being offered were requested from the STN International Council and other trauma nursing organizations across the globe. Topics encompass the continuum of trauma care from pre-hospital to rehabilitation focusing on the geriatric population, interpersonal violence, neuro trauma, traumatic injury across the globe and other categories. We invite you to join your international colleagues as we discuss the how s and why s of trauma care. Invited speakers will discuss ongoing areas of clinical challenges and research. Speakers will address resuscitation, performance improvement, global injury patterns, continuing care, how to set up a trauma system and rehabilitation issues. Pre and post-conference sessions include Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC). Networking opportunities will include meeting the STN leadership, Committee and Special Interest Group (SIG) members as well as the leading trauma surgeons in the world at combined physician and nursing events. STN committees are dedicated to managing and advancing specific activities relevant to the needs of the membership. Whether you are a member of STN or a collaborative partner, we invite you to join your international and U.S. colleagues at this exciting conference!
