13 Revised Incentives Changes to epip eligibility requirements announced prior to Christmas From 1 May 2016, practices required to upload Shared Health Summaries to the My Health Record system for at least 0.5% of their Standardised Whole Patient Equivalent (SWPE) count each quarter to continue to be eligible for the epip - or an average of 5 SHS per full-time GP per quarter 13

15 Personal Control 1 2 Individuals can choose to have a record or not Individuals can set access controls to their record 3 Individuals can remove documents from view 4 To assist individuals to manage their record there is an access history (or audit log) and they can set notifications
16 Notifications Notifications an individual can choose to receive include: When a healthcare organisation opens their record for the first time When a healthcare organisation opens their record in an emergency When a new Shared Health Summary is added to their record When an advance care planning document is added or removed When a nominated representative connects to their record for the first time When a nominated representative opens their record
17 Privacy 1 Access to information in My Health Record is limited by law to specific situations (eg. registered healthcare providers delivering health care) 2 Significant sanctions for misuse but not where a mistake is made
18 System Security The My Health Record system has bank-strength security features. These include strong encryption, firewalls, secure login/authentication and audit logging. Access to the system occurs via the mygov portal which is the same portal used to access ATO and Centrelink services. The information stored in the My Health Record system is stored securely in Australia To date, there have been no identified instances of malicious attacks.
