First bed, 3 from outside wall (head against bleachers) b. Measure 4 between beds c. Place the partitions 4 from last bed, and 7 from the foot of the beds d. Place the four 6 partitions, with hand-washing station in the center c. Place two tables and chairs vertically at 33 d. Place two tables horizontally at back wall 3. Set up Supply Area a. Place two tables horizontally in NW/NE corners b. Place shelving units for: i. Housekeeping Supplies ii. Patient Supplies iii. Linens 4. Set Up Radiology Area a. 9 Diagram 6: Team D: Bedding / Patient Supplies Team D will begin in the southwest corner of the gymnasium: 1. Begin by placing the fitted sheet over the mattress (or cot). 2. Next, place a flat sheet, followed by a blanket, tucking in the foot and sides. 3. Slip a pillow case over the pillow. 4. Open the hook & loop tabs on the disposable caddy, and wrap over the side rail. 5. Fill caddy with patient toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.; and bottle of water.) 10 Diagram 7: Team E: Nursing / Pharmacy Units 1. Nursing Unit: a. Start by placing Medical supplies from Team E Bin on the vertical table located on the west side of the Nurses Station, and place a trash can where the two tables meet. b. On the first horizontal table place the Bands, Forms, and Computer, while connecting your computer to the Electrical Hub (E). c. On the second horizontal table place the Printer, Misc. Supplies, Writing Utensils, and Sanitizer. d. On the vertical table located at the side of the Nurses Station, place the Tissues, Dividers, and Charts. e. Place the paper towels at the Handwashing station, then place a trash can on the west side, followed by the paper shredder, and trash bags. f. Finally, place the Chart Rack next to the Handwash station. 2. Pharmacy Unit: a. Start with placing trash cans at each end of the unit, one west end of the tables, the other at east end. b. On the west table near Pediatrics, place the supplies trash bags, tissue, and sharps containers. c. On the east table near Isolation, place a sharps container, misc. supplies, writing utensils, sanitizer, and paper towels. d. Finally, place the Med-cart supplies on the Med Carts. 11 Diagram 8: Team G: Laboratory/Diagnostics Unit Team G: 1. Start with placing the trash can against the southeast partition. 2. On the first table, next to the refrigerator, place the Sanitizer, Paper Towels, and Sharps Container. 3. Place writing utensils on the next table. On the first table located horizontally against the bleacher wall place your 4. On the second table located horizontally against the bleacher wall place unit. each one of the four bins with Hemoccult, Accu- Check, HcG, and Urine Dipstick testing supplies. 12 Diagram 9: Team H: Supply Unit Team H: Will start in the center of the Northern point of the gym. 1. Start with filling the two carts at the 33 line from the Northeast corner of the gym with items from the Toiletries/Bathroom Supply bins. 2. Next fill the four carts located horizontally against the bleacher wall in the Northern point of the gym with items from the PPE, Respiratory, I.V., and Dressing supplies bins. 3. Lastly, fill the two carts that are located on the 33 line from the Northwest corner of the gym with items from the Linen and Housekeeping supply bins. 13 Diagram 10: Team I: Radiology Unit Team I: Will start in the center of the Northeast corner of the gym. 1. Start by placing Sanitizer bottle, paper towels, and writing utensils against the first table located vertically at the 33 line from the Northeast corner of the gym. 2. On the second table located vertically at the 33 line from the Northeast corner of the gym place lead drapes. 3. Lastly place a trash can against the partition wall near the second table located vertically at the 33 line from the Northeast corner of the gym. 14 Diagram 11: Team J: Signage Team Signage Team will start before any other team enters the ACS. 1. Team J will place the signage for the ACS equipment/supply staging areas outside the gymnasium as indicated in Diagram 11 a, and then proceed to place signage on the classrooms designated for Additional Supplies ( drop-off 4), and the ICP (drop-off 5). 2. Once the ACS has been set-up, the Signage Team will place area-specific signs, including: Pediatrics, Nurses Station, Isolation, Women, Men, Lab, Supply, Radiology, Ambulance/Patient Entrance, Staff/Visitor Entrance. 3. The Signage Team will ensure that initial staging area signage is picked up and stored appropriately. 15 Diagram 12: Transportation Delivery Priorities The delivery priorities are numerically depicted below (1-5), as well as color-coded signage for easy identification by the staging and set-up teams. 1. The first delivery priority contains the Red and Blue blocks, containing patient beds, bedding, tables, chairs etc. 2. The second delivery priority contains the Green and Orange blocks of equipment/supplies for set-up of the Nursing & Pharmacy units. 3. The third delivery priority contains the Yellow, Grey, and Purple blocks for set-up of Lab, Supply, and Radiology units. 4. 16 Diagram 13: Staging Areas Staging Areas for ACS equipment/supply delivery are in five designated areas. 1. First area is identified in the diagram below, in the center of the east side of the gymnasium. This staging area is designated for the first wave of set-up (Blocks A, B, & C: Tables, Chairs, Cots/Beds, etc.; and Block D: Bedding/Pt Area set-up). 2. The second staging area is located outside the southeast corner of the gym, and is designated for the second wave of ACS equipment/supplies (Blocks E & F: Nursing & Pharmacy Stations). 3. The third staging area is located outside the northeast corner of the gym, and is designated for Blocks G, H, and I (Lab, Supply, Radiology areas). 4. The fourth and fifth staging areas are located in the ancillary classrooms to the west of the gym. These areas are designated for Additional Storage (4), and the ICP/PIO (5).
