2 State of Wisconsin Government Jobs - Job Announcement Detail Page 2 of 3 The Nurse Assessment Coordinator is an advanced professional responsible and accountable for the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), and Care Plan development used in the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process. This position is responsible for the independent management of the RAI process for all members of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King (WVHK). The incumbent is the RAI/MDS subject matter expert for WVHK and is responsible for training staff and conducting in-services on the RAI/MDS/CAAS and care planning process for all Health Care Team members. The incumbent oversees the development and provision of MDS reports for quality assurance purposes and surveyor request; acting as a resource to all staff and departments involved in the RAI/MDS process; monitoring quality assurance of the RAI process; evaluating, recommending, and following up on Quality Indicator reports; overseeing data retrieval assistance for surveying agencies; assisting with monitoring of staff involved in the RAI/MDS; ensuring compliance with state, federal and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regulations, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA), and WVHK policies and procedures.
