Nonprofit Hospital Charity Care Data (CD-ROM), $75.00 per year Charity care and community benefits information compiled from the Annual Statement of Community Benefits Standard forms. Information is available in ASCII (.txt), spreadsheet (.wb2) and database (.dbf) format. Includes a blank copy of the requested year s form, variables listing, and documentation. Nonprofit Hospital Annual Report of the Community Benefits Plan, (Hard Copy), Cost varies depending on length of report A hospital specific annual report of Community Benefits Plan (includes goals, objectives, and achievements) submitted by Texas nonprofit hospitals under state charity care and community benefits reporting requirements. Texas Acute Care Hospital Fact Sheet, 2002 A two-page summary on Texas acute care hospitals. Page 1 provides information by ownership, bed size and location (2001). Page 2 includes information on trends in utilization, uncompensated care and gross patient revenue from Annual Survey of hospitals ( ). (CHS web site) Texas Healthy People 2000 Health Status Indicators by Race and Ethnicity Health Status Indicators presented in this report were developed to provide a measurable, understandable and outcome oriented assessment of community health at the federal, state and local level. For most indicators, data are presented over the past years in order to determine if Texas health status relative to that indicator is improving, remaining the same or worsening. In addition to showing Texas data over time, the most recent national rates by race and ethnicity are compared to Texas rates for the same year. (CHS web site) Texas Health Data An easy to use web site enabling users to interactively key health and population indicators for any Texas county. This system is on the TDH web site (soupfin.state.tx.us). Developed in 2000, in collaboration with the state of Missouri and the National Center for Health Statistics, users are able to custom generate and download data tables for 1990 through 2001, birth, death or population statistics. Selected Demographic and Public Health Measures: Rankings for Texas Counties. These reports present selected demographic, health status, and outcome measures by rank and by county that are commonly requested and utilized for community planning and evaluation. The sentinel indicators found within this report provide an early warning system for areas that may be at risk for poor health outcomes. The rankings and comparisons provide a historical benchmark to assess the short and long-term efforts expended towards improving or maintaining a community s health. (CHS web site) 3

There is no guarantee requested data will be provided on the same day of the visit. Please bring cash/check to pay in advance for data requested. Special request reports can be compiled using hospital utilization and financial data from the TDH/AHA/THA Annual Survey of Hospitals on a cost recovery basis. Costs and preparation time will vary depending on the complexity of the report. Estimates will be provided within 5 days of the request. (a) - The cost for a copy of an annual survey is $5.00. The first two copies are free. For more than two copies, a fee of $5.00 will apply to all copies, including the first two copies. (b) - The cost for a copy of an annual statement is $3.00.
