2 Level 2 Diploma in Cleaning and Support Services Around 4.5 million people help to keep businesses running in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers by attracting new talent into a career in Cleaning and Support Services Skills and help to up skill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire. Intermediate Apprentices will work in roles such as Cleaning Operatives and Supervisors. Level 2 Diploma in Cleaning and Support Services Pathway 1 The framework is designed to meet the skill needs of employers by attracting new talent into a career of Cleaning and Support Services Skills and help upskill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire. Apprentices will work in roles such as Hygiene Operative, Caretakers & Neighbourhood services Operative. Learners gain knowledge and understanding within the Industry sector leading to a Level 2 Diploma in Cleaning and Support Services Skills. To complete the package learners undertake Functional Skills in Maths and English with Pearson and City Guilds. The course aims to be complete within 18 months. The Apprenticeship is made up of 4 parts: = QCF (37 credits) = BTEC (13 credits) Principles = Level 2 Diploma in Cleaning and Support Services Skills = Functional Skills (10 credits) = Level 1 English = Level 1 Mathematics = Employee Rights and Responsibilities = Personal Learning and Thinking Skills All areas must be achieved and evidenced by the learner as part of the overall framework

3 Progression from Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship in Cleaning and Support Services Skills = Upon Advanced completion Apprenticeship of the Apprenticeship in Cleaning Supervision an employee can apply to for membership of the = Professional Advanced Apprenticeship organisation the in British Facilities Institute Management of Cleaning Science ( BICS). = Qualifications in Team Leading = Progression into Team Leader Supervisor Roles = Progression into Higher Management positions, managing contracts and large numbers of staff Overview (Principles) Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles (QCF) The Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles (QCF) is a 13-credit and 110-guided-learning-hour (GLH) qualification that consists of three mandatory units (10 credits) plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 13 credits. This qualification forms the Technical Certificate for the Cleaning and Support Services Apprenticeship Framework.

5 Learners must achieve a minimum of 37 credits to achieve this Qualification Seven from Mandatory Suite A, Two credits from Mandatory Suite B and 28 credits from optional group O.
