3 Certification : ISO SIX SIGMA Accreditation is public recognition by a national body on the achievement of a set of standards by a healthcare organization, Accreditations: NABH (QCI) NABL demonstrated through an independent external assessment of that organization s level of performance in relation to the standard A methodology approved by WHO for complete evaluation of an organization and all functions and processes leading to clinical outcomes. It usually voluntary and aims at meeting agreed upon quality standards related to essential healthcare facilities. Accreditation relies on establishing technical competence of healthcare organisation in terms of accreditation standards in delivering services with respect to its scope. It focuses on learning, self development, improved performance and reducing risk. Accreditation is based on optimum standards, professional accountability and encourages healthcare organisation to pursue continual excellence. Set up by the Government of India and Indian Industry. Ministry of Tourism & WTO called upon QCI to serve as umbrella body to spearhead quality initiative to promote Medical Tourism. To cater to needs of consumers and setting standards for progress of industry. The constitution and structure for NABH was laid in the year 2006 To provide boost to Medical Tourism.
